Gisteren hadden we John Watts van Fischer-Z te gast voor een unieke show: één nummer in chronologische volgorde uit elk van de 20 platen die hij tot nog toe heeft uitgebracht. Het werd een bijzondere avond, niet in de laatste plaats omdat we in de loop der jaren een persoonlijke band met Fischer-Z hebben ontwikkeld: acht jaar geleden was dit de groep - met full line up- die onze Rock Lobster City Lodge officieel heeft geopend. Good vibes all over! Dank aan Eric (geluid) en Ives Mergaerts (keyboards) om er mee een geslaagde avond van ter maken. Dank als altijd aan Eva, Barbara en Hartmut zonder wiens hulp deze sessies een abstracte fantasie zou zijn. En uiteraard dank aan ons fantastisch publiek: stuk voor stuk mensen die komen om te luisteren. Wie vaker naar concerten gaat weet dat dit minder evident is dan het lijkt.

Door een misverstand hebben we plots beschikbaarheid in onze Rock Lobster City Lodge in het weekend van 4 en 5 oktober. Een buitenkans want de weekends zijn meestal maanden vantevoren volgeboekt! De grootste James Ensor-tentoonstelling ever is net open gegaan in KMSKA (5 * in De Standaard), in het FOMU is voor het eerste een expo van Cindy Sherman te zien, én om de hoek in De Roma op die dagen concerten van De La Soul en The Skatalites.
