What were our client's requirements?
Even before corona broke loose, we were asked to organise a five-day incentive trip for about 40 participants within a delineated budget. Creative Star worked out various programmes and Bologna was retained as the destination. The potential participants received a first teaser to register and the enthusiasm was so great that the question arose whether the number of participants could be increased to 80. In the end, the counter remained at 172 participants. The trip had to be postponed due to known reasons, but everyone could now pack their bags anyway for an unforgettable trip to the 'Red City' of northern Italy.
The solution:
What did Creative Star do?
We surprised participants with a varied programme where all the senses were stimulated. The eyes were delighted with one of Bologna's finest hotels, the Palazzo di Varignana, which served as a base.
After the party had checked in well and truly, their first activity was already planned. On a Vespa, they travelled through the hills of Bologna and Modena stopping at the best producers of Parmigiano and Aceto Balsamico for a tasting. The tour ended at the most renowned winery in the Emilia-Romagna region where an Italian welcome dinner with stunning views over the vineyards provided the perfect end to the first day.
After a restful night, the company was expected at the Modena race circuit the next day for a real adrenaline rush. Not only were they allowed to get behind the wheel of a racing car - accompanied by an instructor, of course - but they were also able to practice their agility on real F1 simulators which, by the way, are also used by real F1 racers.
After this adventurous day, we lingered in the atmosphere of fast cars the next morning with an exclusive visit to the factories of Pagani, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati. The question
WHAT DID OUR CLIENT WANTED?
We’ve spent a long time getting to know this particular DSA company and they take pride in understanding their workforce. So when they contacted us requesting a five-day incentive trip for 250 of their top-selling distributors with their partners in tow, we knew we’d have to create something unique for their audience. With the goal of motivating distributors to grow their businesses through the promise of a wow-factor incentive, we needed to whittle down our exhaustive long-list to a destination that was easily accessible to delegates from across 15 European countries, included provisions for a half-day conference translated live into six different languages, and oozed ultimate luxury throughout – no mean feat.
The Solution
WHAT DID CREATIVE STAR DO?
Despite the guest list increasing fourfold over the previous year, we were keen to maintain the personalized, intimate atmosphere of previous iterations. A buyout of the luxurious Four Seasons hotel and no other hotel guests to worry about, meant we were free to organize an unforgettable pool party to welcome guests in style and five days of completely bespoke activities; a festival to showcase the best of Morocco’s culture, team building opportunities for distributors to turn colleagues into friends, a decadent evening under the stars in a bespoke desert camp that appeared mirage-like one morning and vanished without trace the next and a convoy of 75 4x4s through the ever-shifting sand dunes on the outskirts of Marrakech. Fire eaters, belly dancers, fire pits, live music and a surprise fireworks display ensured the event left a lasting mark on each of the 250 guests.
And even after all this, we still weren’t done; local guides, who spoke all the requisite languages, were sourced to escort the distributors through Marrakech’s famous medinas and take part in a ‘best bargain’ competition to be judged at the gala dinner. This black-tie affair
