💡 Over the past few years, I’ve come across entrepreneurs in STR who are struggling, many of them followers of the optimism philosophy. As a natural enthusiast, I saw nothing wrong with that. But I’ve noticed that, even after readjusting their business, they often end up back to square one.

📚 I’ve read some of the books they follow, and I feel the author is more of a finance or loan shark. Some advice they receive includes:

💸 Spend what you don't have; the universe will make it right...

❌ Deny the existence of mistakes.

This explains why I’ve seen entrepreneurs signing full-guarantee contracts that defy market logic, or ignoring the reality of bad reviews. I've attended conferences that were poorly planned, but the organizers kept saying everything was wonderful – if I hadn’t been there, I might’ve believed them!

🔋 While I’m a big believer in positive energy, I don’t play around with business. I’m a chess player, not a clown 🤡. I believe in numbers and business plans (BP).

Some of you might ask, should we always think the worst? Not necessarily thinking the worst, but being prepared – absolutely! As @‌Andrew McConnell (and the Stoics) explain in "Get Out of My Head," thinking "What could go wrong?" and "What if?" has helped me countless times, both personally and professionally.

🎯 Tackling scaling with an "I will, I can" attitude is great, but ignoring mistakes that help us learn and grow is a different story entirely!
