"The Ministries" as seen here in the Rue de la Loi / Wetstraat. Please note that in the far end the street ends in a cul-de-sac with back in the day a very fancy restaurant located there. Today the street continues and makes the connection with the central railway station and the lower town.

Porte de Ninove in its authentic setting. In the late 1930's the canal was slightly rerouted to the west, removing some bends and making it wider. The two tax pavillions are still in place, but the houses behind, in the photo serparated by the canal, have ever since disappeared.

Three different views of the medieval Hallepoort / Porte de Hal. The Hallepoort houses the museum with a lot of medieval artifacts and history. If you haven't visited it yet, don't hesitate because federal government is looking for a private partner to take over the location (no word about the museum). It is one my favorite museum, top3!
