t's well into winter and the holidays are just around the corner. This year there was a lot different than usual, but we also discovered nature close to home again and we went out a lot. In collaboration with the Gavers, a few enthusiastic students and the Deerlijk Leisure Services, we are therefore launching another beastly, wintery podcast about (urban) nature during the Christmas vacations.

From Saturday 19 December to Sunday 3 January you can do a walking or cycling tour through the Gavers and Deerlijk. In this tour there are 8 unique hidden places of nature. At these spots you can scan a QR code and enjoy a unique story about this valuable nature spot. The stories were read by actors and actresses of two Deerlijk theater companies, Theater Sellewie and theater group Die Ghesellen.

There is also a contest attached to the podcast. At each location you can find one or more letters. With all the letters you can form a word. After 3 January the winner will be announced and he or she will win a nice, local prize.
