Boortmalt partners with the historic Antwerp Brewers' House 🍻
Our parent company will oversee the future operations of the historic Antwerp Brewers' House (The Brouwershuis).
The Brouwershuis is located in the north of Antwerp, between Adriaan Brouwerstraat and Brouwersvliet. Founded in the 16th century by entrepreneur and town planner Gilbert Van Schoonbeke as a water distribution center for surrounding breweries, the Brouwershuis also later became the seat of the town's brewers' guild.
In 1933, the Brouwershuis was first opened as a museum. Since 1990, it has been closed to the public pending necessary restoration.
After its renovations, Belgomalt will take a leading role in making this building the Antwerp meeting and educational hub on everything about brewing and malting.
