ROCK WERCHTER WHERE IT ALL STARTED – Back in the ‘70s with Hedwig who threw a party now & then in the middle of the fields. For friends, family and all who loved rock ‘n’ roll and Belgian beer. Rumour spread and the idea for a bigger annual event grew. Here comes a marquee, a Saturday night disco and Sunday concerts. The seeds were planted for the first Rock Werchter festival (1975) 🤘🏼 along with the later STAGECO company. The rest is history.
Nowadays often voted the best rock festival in the world with the most amazing line-up. And a gigantic mainstage with an XXL roof. But still with the same vibe. And all the pioneers present for the music party of the year in the middle of the Flemish fields 🤩.
