“Its address in Tel Aviv’s ancient port city, Jaffa, tells you all you need to know about The Setai, a luxury hotel built inside a fortress. Guests come here for the history—there are stone archways dating back to the Crusades and iron-barred windows from its Ottoman-era days as a prison—but stay for the atmosphere courtesy of London-based firm ARA Design, who injected a heavy dose of Middle Eastern drama into the guest rooms (Turkish rugs, Arabic-patterned light fixtures) and an artful blend of old and new in public spaces (12th-century coins and a clutch of old weapons along with jewel-tone armchairs and glittering chandeliers). The rooftop, though, is the true stunner. Jerusalem sparkles with lights, Christmas trees and a festive atmosphere in and around the Old City.

A huge, glittering, festive and colorful Jerusalem Christmas Market will take place at the New Gate (Collège des Frères), Muristan and Nablus Road.

Towards the end of the year, Jerusalem sparkles with lights, Christmas trees and a festive atmosphere in and around the Old City. The picturesque alleyways of the Christian Quarter from the New Gate to the Muristan will be decorated with special holiday decorations and fireworks for the opening of the Market and Sylvester, a huge Christmas tree at the New Gate, Santa Claus / Papa Noel will open his house. There will be gift stands, holiday delicacies and shows for the whole family. Christmas Market 2018 is held at the initiative of Lights Up Ltd. and the Bozoor Elhayat Lapdal Association in cooperation with the merchants of East Jerusalem.

L’Autorité archéologique israélienne a présenté mercredi à Jérusalem un masque de pierre vieux d’environ neuf mille ans découvert il y a quelques mois dans les collines du sud d’Hébron et associé au développement du culte des ancêtres coïncidant avec la sédentarisation des hommes...
