TV series 'De Joodse Raad' has won the 'Zilveren Nipkowschijf' from the Evangelische Omroep (EO). The award is the oldest and most prestigious television prize in the Netherlands. The 'Zilveren Nipkowschijf' has been awarded by a jury of Dutch media since 1961.

Upon nomination, the jury called the series "a monumental historical series that colours a chapter of history that has long been thought about in too black and white a manner." The jury also praised writer Roos Ouwehand's "subtle and nuanced script".

In 1941, 'De Joodse Raad' was created by order of the German occupier. The council had to organise communication between the Germans and the Jewish population. In practice, the council had to cooperate in all kinds of anti-Jewish measures, such as drawing up address lists of people who were deported to concentration camps.

Usually, I am mostly asked for fiction films and series, but a nature documentary has long been on my bucket list. So I was very happy when Option Media, the post-production company I work for, came off with Onze natuur. With fiction, Foley often serves as padding, this time my sounds were given a more prominent role.”
