Just back from Namibia. What can one say? It was absolutely wonderful - of course! Everything went very smoothly. We loved every minute, beautiful lodges and mainly excellent food. Lots of animals and breath-taking scenery. We have some amazing memories. Hunting with bushmen was quite an experience and luckily (for us) the porcupine got away 😱!

We had an absolutely fantastic time (in Bologna, Italy) and it was so much better than I had even hoped. My friend and I spoke lots of Italian. There were odd moments when we would speak Italian and the people we were speaking to replied in English as we all wanted to practise our languages. The hotel was lovely. Breakfast was good, too. The food and drink was great and we did loads of walking everywhere. The cookery course was excellent and the couple we ate with were lovely and we spoke a lot of Italian and English. It’s hard work making pasta properly - I normally use a machine.

Our vacation (to South Africa) was really great overall. The hotel in Cape Town was fantastic. Amazing breakfast and access to tourist friendly activities on the wharf (Robben Island, Aquarium, shops). Gondwana was our favorite property. Absolutely gorgeous house and facilities. We would have welcomed an extra day there. The game drives were a few hours long and they stopped in the middle of the savanna for drinks or coffee depending on the time of day. Our son enjoyed the Junior Ranger program.

'Egypt was fabulous! We got 5-star treatment for a 3-star price. This was probably the most personalized trip we have ever been on: We were taken care of every minute of the day, and the guides were amazing, so attentive and knowledgeable! 'Thank you for planning a phenomenal European getaway for us. We loved it!! We had such a great time. It was a tasty delight eating our way thru southern Spain. The tapas were a huge hit. Spain has so much to offer with a rich history, museums, dancing, art, music, beautiful ancient architecture and warm hospitable locals. We especially loved a Flamenco dancing show. There is no doubt that we will be back. Thank you for realizing what style of traveling our family loves. We had a taste of many different areas and styles of places on this holiday. Some good news finally from the US about holidays. The White House has announced that it is lifting the ban on people from 33 countries entering the country because of covid, including the 26 member states of the EU. As from November 8, 2021, the US will open its borders to fully-vaccinated travelers. Accepted vaccines include Astra-Zeneca which has been widely used in Europe and the UK. Vaccinated travelers will not need to go into quarantine upon arrival in the US, but it is still a requirement to show a negative covid test result in the 72-hours before travel (even US-passport holders have to show this test). Non-vaccinated travelers are still barred from entering the US. This decision means you can now start planning that long-anticipated holiday to the States. But don’t delay. Contact us now about your next US vacation before air fares and hotel prices start to go up!

The big sleep is coming to an end! After months of laying low, we are pleased to see a pick-up in business. Actually, we never went away. All through the covid crisis we have been available to assist clients with re-bookings, cancellations and refunds. We decided that with all that going on, and with the covid situation in general, it didn’t make sense to solicit new business when the chances of the trip actually happening were very slim. But now things are (slowly) improving. Not like before covid, but improving all the same.
On Europe’s covid alert map, for example, red (the highest alert code) is on the retreat. And as from November 1, 2021, it has been announced that vaccinated Europeans will be allowed to holiday again in the US.
So, what does this mean for you? The good news is that people are starting to travel again as more and more destinations open up. We are busier now than we have been for months booking new trips within Europe to popular destinations like Italy, France, Greece, Croatia and even outside Europe to Egypt. And many of our clients are traveling to these places from the US!
If you fulfill the vaccination requirements of your destination, there is not much more you need to do than follow local protocols like wearing masks in public places and keeping social distancing and so on. In some cases, you may be required to undergo rapid testing at check-in, but we know from experience that this takes just a matter of minutes and costs just a few euros.

If not now, when?
You may be thinking to yourself that now might not be the best time to travel. But if you don’t go this year or next year, when? You have to ask yourself how likely is it that you will do that ‘dream’ vacation if you keep putting it off indefinitely.
