I'm definitely an outdoor enthusiast 👩‍🌾! The moment the rain stops, you'll find me in the garden or exploring the forest. If I'm not on a walk, I'm usually with my nose in a book or eating something delicious. 📚🍰

But on rainy days, our kitchen offers a special treat—it feels like you're in the garden, watching raindrops falling on the roof. Such a unique and cozy experience! ☔️✨

Hi there, it's Fred! Owner and handyman of the home.

Here is our vuurschaal (in english it translates to "fire bowl" so we decided to leave it in dutch). :)
And now drinks! When you'll come here, you'll notice there are many bottles around.

I find my inner peace once I sit on the leather sofa, Juliette the cat on my lap and sipping a nice Negroni.

Aaah sacred spring! Is there a "beautifuller" season than spring? (Yes, we know it's not grammatically correct but we love the fuller sound of it ;) ) Birds are chirping, trees and flowers are blossoming and the sun is drying out the greyness left by winter.
What more can you ask for?!

Meow! I am Juliette, official owner of the house and undiscussed leader in the team. My role is to make sure that the guests are correctly greeted at their arrival, that the home is well kept when nobody is there and that Fred and Elke do their part efficiently.

Today is the World's Wildlife Day!!

We wanted to celebrate it by sharing why we especially love our little home in the forest: we get to spend time with nature, no distractions, no city noises... We are submerged by the sound of birds chirping, animals moving in the forest, the smell of wet wood and the soft feeling of humid, fresh grass under our feet.

It really is a magical experience that we think everyone should experience at least once a year!

Hi! We are Fred and Elke and we are the human owners of this wonderful home in the woods near Brussels.

We bought this house in 2014 and Fred (also known as the Renovation Master) single handedly transformed it in our beautiful home.
The goal was to create a safe space in the woods, away from the stress of everyday life. And what can we say...? Mission accomplished!!

We decided to rent it out because we want to share this beautiful space and what it means for us with as many people as possible.

Our neighbours have the cuuutest donkeys!

Whenever we can we like to drop by and spend some time with them. Have you ever had a donkey eat grass from your hand? If not you have to try it!! They are super gentle and their lips are so soft that they almost tickle you :D

Hi! I'm Fred, one of the 3 owners of our home in Brussels and the Renovator.

When we bought the property it was a house, but we wanted a home. I put my back into it and, with a great help from Elke (and mental support of Juliette of course ;-) , we can now proudly say that it is our little piece of art.

I am personally extremely proud of my kitchens. Yes, plural! We now also have an exterior kitchen with an amazing oven where we can cook and bake amazing feasts with our friends and family.

Summer 2021, you are ours! March 2020 - 2021: birthdays, newborns, marriages, ... so many reasons to celebrate and unfortunately it was impossible. So this summer, we will celebrate! Maybe still in ‘petit comité’, but nevertheless, we will enjoy good food and drinks with the people we love. . . Sharing the joy of our house has been an amazing adventure, the gratitude we receive of our guests is a an energy boost over and over :-). We noticed that many people book our house to celebrate something, a baby on the way, various 30th birthdays, wedding anniversaries, ... We are delighted to host your celebrations in our garden as from now. Intimate celebrations, in a corona-proof context, and especially: surrounded by the people you love and good food. The hangover afterwards is much softer when staying a couple of days while enjoying the hot-tub ;-) . . Last weekend Freya and Chris re-married in our garden.. an amazing, warm and loving couple, who can’t hide their love for one another...
