A wild sighting at Masai Mara camp. We bumped into a pack of 12 lions and this old bull elephant was just grazing along like nothing bothered him. This is the real king of the bush if you ask us 😉🐘 photo credit:

Did you know that giraffes can obtain almost all the water that they need from the leaves that they eat? The effort that giraffes have to go through just to get a drink not only strains their neck, but the awkward position leaves them extremely vulnerable to predators like crocodiles. That’s why adult giraffes only need to drink once every couple of days.

An amazing feeling to be so close to these majestic giants. 🐘 The terrapin hide is the perfect spot to see wildlife up close and personal and the place to be for wildlife photographers! Located in the Madikwe Game Reserve this lodge offers far more than just the big five. This is where our African adventure started all these years ago and you can see why 😊
