Every year we are contacted by some travelers who were unfortunately scammed by fake rental websites. For example, just this week we received a cry for help from a family who learned the day before arrival that their booked house was no longer available due to so-called “water damage.” No alternative was offered and they were unreachable by phone. Fortunately, we were able to help them further with another stay, but they lost their money. 😔
These fake websites look professional, with beautiful villas at (way too) low prices. It seems incredible, but even on major platforms like Airbnb and Booking, fraud occurs. Unfortunately, cheap is often expensive.
Therefore, rent safely through a reliable provider! At IbizaDesk we have been active in vacation villa rentals for more than 8 years. Daniel, our true Ibiza local, has lived on the island full-time for over 20 years and has over 35 years of Ibiza “work” experience. 🏝️

NL: 🚨 OPGELET VOOR OPLICHTERS EN FAKE WEBSITES 🚨
Elk jaar worden we gecontacteerd door enkele reizigers die helaas opgelicht werden door nep-verhuurwebsites. Zo ontvingen we deze week nog een noodkreet van een familie die de dag voor aankomst hoorde dat hun geboekte huis door zogenaamde “waterschade” niet meer beschikbaar was. Geen alternatief werd geboden en telefonisch was men onbereikbaar. Gelukkig konden we hen verderhelpen met een ander verblijf, maar hun geld zijn ze kwijt. 😔
Deze fake websites zien er professioneel uit, met prachtige villa’s aan (veel te) lage prijzen. Het lijkt ongelooflijk, maar zelfs op grote platforms zoals Airbnb en Booking komt fraude voor. Helaas is goedkoop vaak duurkoop.

FR: 🚨 ATTENTION AUX ESCROCS ET AUX FAUX SITES WEB 🚨
Chaque année, nous sommes contactés par des voyageurs qui se sont malheureusement fait arnaquer par de faux sites de location. Cette semaine encore, nous avons reçu un appel à l’aide d’une famille qui, la veille de son arrivée, a appris que la maison qu’elle avait réservée n’était plus disponible en raison de prétendus “dégâts des eaux”. Aucun hébergement alternatif ne leur a été proposé, et il était impossible de joindre la société. Heureusement, nous avons pu les aider à trouver un autre logement, mais ils ont malheureusement perdu leur argent. 😔
Ces faux sites web semblent professionnels, avec de magnifiques villas à des prix (beaucoup trop) bas. Chose incroyable, mais même sur de grandes plateformes comme Airbnb et Booking, la fraude existe. Malheureusement, le bon marché coûte souvent trop cher.

Over the years, Ibiza has become our second home.

Daniel fell in love with Ibiza and its free spirit after the first holiday he spent there when he was 18 years old. So a few months later, he moved from Paris to Ibiza where he found a businesspartner to start his first concept: The Croissant Show, still a reference and legend on the Island. After Croissant show, he worked as manager and promoter in several big clubs in Ibiza. After living on Ibiza for 14 years, he moved to Belgium, where he built up a new life and several businesses in the hospitalitysector, but Ibiza kept on calling… So he started organizing the infamous partyflights to Ibiza in the 90’s and continued to be promoter of several parties. With Ibizadesk, it was time to start a new chapter in his Ibiza story. Daniel is the driving force, the creator, the inventor and organizer of the team.

Wendy met Daniel 15 years ago in one of his restaurants in Belgium. She lost her heart to both Daniel and Ibiza.

With a degree in economics in her pocket, she worked in the first years of her career as account-manager for some big companies. But their different lifestyles made her decide soon to say goodbye to her job and start a business with Daniel. The last years she worked again as sales and accountmanager for companies, related to the event and hospitality sector and during all these years she managed the practical and paperwork side of Daniel’s businesses. She is the one that executes the (sometimes crazy) ideas behind the scenes and she makes sure all prep work is done.

Their versatile professional experience, in hospitality, events on the one hand and their knowledge of and love for the island on the other, make them the perfect partner to organise your holiday, event or incentive, on the Island itself, as well as back home in Belgium.
