⛷Panichis*te is another great winter location in the Rila Mountain region, suitable for and . 🗨But before we share some more, here is a helpful tip how to read and pronounce the resort’s name easier for our international friends: Pani – chi (as in chilly) – s*t (as in stork) – e, Pani-chi-s*te. 😄Try to say it out loud.

▶The resort of Panichis*te is situated in Rila. It is 84 km from Sofia and about 40 km from Samokov, at an altitude of 1,350 m. ✅Panichis*te has two tracks – an alpine track and a 👦children‘s track. Three more tracks are located in the vicinity of mountain hostels. All ski tracks are serviced by ski tows. The resort has well-developed facilities for practicing sports like football, volleyball, etc. The proximity of the resort to Sapareva Banya, where the warmest mineral water in Bulgaria springs, makes it a preferred destination for and health tourism.

Festival of the Dalmatian Pelican will take place in Persina Nature Park on 3th and 4th June 2022. The event focus on the need to promote the return of pelicans as a nesting species on the Danube.
In 2016 this beautiful and rare bird, symbol of the Srebarna Reserve (UNESCO) returned to nest near Belene for the first time since the 1950s, and since then is one of the main attractions for nature lovers from all over the world.

Le festival du pélican frisé aura lieu dans le parc naturel Persina le 3 et le Juin 2022. L'événement vise sur la nécessité de promouvoir le retour des pélicans en tant qu'espèce nicheuse sur le Danube.
En 2016, ce beau et rare oiseau, symbole de la réserve de Srebarna Reserve (UNESCO) est revenu nicher près de Béléné pour la première fois depuis les années 1950, et depuis lors est l'une des principales attractions pour les amoureux de la nature du monde entier.

Today, Bulgaria celebrates the day of Bulgarian (Cyrillic) alphabet and culture, also known as the Day of St. Cyril and St Methodius.
Currently used by almost 300 million people in 12 countries in Eastern Europe, Northern and Central Asia, the Cyrillic alphabet was initially developed at the end of the 9th century AD for the need of the Old Bulgarian language.
The first Slavic alphabet, the Glagolitic, was invented by St Cyril and St Methodius, respected as “genius philologists”. Every letter stood for a specific sound and was based on one of the three sacred signs in Christianity – the cross, the circle and the triangle.
Their disciples, also Bulgarians, further developed the Glagolitic into the new Bulgarian alphabet, and allegedly called it Cyrillic in honor of their master, St. Cyril.
