The Historical Park in Bulgaria is situated 35 km west of Varna near the village of Neofit Rilski. Next is Thracian period. We organize many events.

It was opened on June 22 2019, covers 50 hectares and offers the visitors an interactive trip more than 10,000 years of human civilization. The Historical Park in Bulgaria is situated 35 km west of Varna near the picturesque village of Neofit Rilski, Vetrino municipality. The park was opened on June 22nd 2019 and covers 50 hectares which fact makes it the largest historical, cultural and education
al complex of its kind in the world. The Historical Park offers the visitors an interactive trip more than 10,000 years of human civilization. It welcomes you with the impressive statue of the Thracian archer and you enter the site through the reconstructed medieval fortress of the Second Bulgarian kingdom. First is prehistorical period – Neolithic and Chalcolithic ones. It consists of reconstructed houses, which were found during archeological excavations in different regions in Bulgaria. You can see there instruments of production of those periods, ceramic dishes and weapons which were reconstructed under the supervision of scientists. It is presented by reconstructed temple of Goddess Cybele (found in the town of Balchik), king Seuthes III castle and three Thracian tombs. There are copies of treasures, weapons and armour of that period. There are statues of Spartacus, Thracian kings and soldiers. Early Bulgarian middle ages consist of:
- Slavic settlement with typical houses, weapons and dishes;
- Bulgarian aul with typical yurts including a big one – of a khan, weapons, dishes and etc. The Historical Park offers different interactive activities – archery, horse riding, boat trip on the lake, medieval duels, ritual wine drinking, ancient coin minting and etc. There are two restaurants which offer delicious dishes cooked to ancient Thracian and Bulgarian recipes. This year they are:
- The III international exhibition for historical painting, called the Guardians of Orthodoxy – it started on the 1 of May and it’s till 31 of May;
- The II international medieval festival, called New Beginning – 18-19 of June;
- Herbal festival 16-17 of July;
- International ancient festival, called ODRIUZA, Cradle of the Thousand Cities, 30-31 of July;
- II international festival of traditional and healthy food, 20-21 of August;
- III international archery festival, 24-25 of September.

🌿 This is the the icon of Saint Petka, which can be seen in the entrance fortress of the Historical Park in Bulgaria. Next to the icon there is a box for donations for the restoration of the church in the village of Sredno Selo.
🌿 When the church is reconstructed, the icon of Saint Petka will be placed in it.

🌿 The new tourist season in the Historical Park in Bulgaria has already started. The park was opened on the 1st of March – Grandmother Marta Day, which is the symbolic beginning of the Spring.
🌿 The Spring is the most appropriate season for time travel through the millennia in the most beautiful site in Bulgaria. Archery, horse-riding, boat trip in the lakes and other activities are available for our guests. One of the restaurants is open as well – there you can taste traditional foods and drinks from natural products and by local producers.

🌿 Since the 17th till the 18th of February the Historical Park in Bulgaria was the host of the Sky Fighters International Falconry tournament which was organized with the assistance of the Velichie (Greatness) Bulgarian School for Ancient Warfare at the Historical Park and the Bulgarian Falconry Club.
🌿 The tournament carried out for the second year and became one of the biggest and the most popular events of its kind not only in Bulgaria but on the Balkans as well.
🌿 The initiator of the event and the main person in its implementation was Martin Petrov, who is one of the first members of the Velichie School and an instructor for training birds of prey in the Historical Park. The competition was impeccably organized, took place in a wonderful atmosphere and brought four prizes (Cup for high sportsmanship, two gold and two bronze medals in the different disciplines) to our representative Martin Petrov and his birds - the peregrine falcon Sekira, the hunting falcon Pandora, and the dog Clare, the Kurzhar breed.
🌿 We thank the hosts from Historical Park, the main organizer and the person responsible for the tournament Ralitsa Petrova, the impeccable judges led by Stavros Athanasios (president of the Hellenic Falconry Association and member of the IAF), Plamen Paskalev - chairman of the BFC, the participants from Green Balkans NGO and to all Bulgarian and Romanian falconers.
🌿 We congratulate all the members of the Veliche School who participated very active in the event, and decorated it with their presence and imbued it with a truly unique history.
