Tourists arriving at Bourgas Airport are far from the levels before the pandemic!
A total of 1.2 million tourists arrived at the airport. There is no registered growth and the levels are the same as last year. Numbers are far from the record 3 million tourists in 2019, the year before COVID and War conflicts in Ukraine and Palestine.
The last charter flight of the season is scheduled on 25th October from Antalya. Positive is a small increase expected in September and October compared to last year.

The three-year cooperation contract between SunExpress, a joint venture of Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, and Electra Airways for a flight program between Germany and Bulgaria has been signed. With 32 flight connections per week from seven German airports (Cologne, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt/Main, Hanover, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart), the flight program will significantly improve the connectivity of the airports in Burgas and Varna, This will seriously increase the flow of German tourists in the country!
