Pair of Rollers from my hides. Spring is coming and waiting for new opportunities with the birds.
European Roller pair. The male (on the left) had just passed the female a lizard that he'd caught and she then consumed it with relish. 😋

We are based in NE Bulgaria and currently we manage several photography hides that offer secure opportunities for photography of Rollers, Bee-eaters, Golden Oriole, Black-headed Bunting, Middle-spotted Woodpecker and other local specialities. Other than these established hides, photographers that stay with us have plenty of opportunities to photograph species like Semi-collared flycatcher, Red-bac
ked Shrike, Lesser-spotted Eagle, Long legged Buzzard, Sombre Tit, Pied Wheatear, Isabelline Wheatear, Paddyfield Warbler, and many other species. Photographers can stay with us in a small cozy village cottage in a traditional style. The immense variety of birds in the area is also a precondition for fantastic birdwatching holidays as well.

The spring is on the way. Black-headed bunting is one of the greatest small birds which we can see from the hides in NE Bulgaria. This photo is from 9 m photo tower, just from my backyard :)

Woodchat shrike from archive in past good times.

After two days the first steps of new photo hides are done. Will be drinking station in very dry valley but reach with bird wildlife. Next is to build a pond and get the water from 300 m...

Latest review from our customers and friends from Germany, wildlife photographers Gabi and Frank Pannewig, Brigitte and Neil Handy from Germany:
We, Neil and Brigitte stayed in the Cottage in Ognyanovo before. We enjoyed it so much that we decided that the "custom made bird photography tour" would be ideal for us and our friends Gabi and Frank. The mixture of Mountains, with the vultures and the birds of prey, waterhide and the cottage with all its different hides was ideal to get a great variety of birds and habitats. The only change we made was to extend the stay in the cottage one week. The hides close to the cottage where perfect for four photographers, and a great improvement with the one way glass windows. We where also very lucky the get chances of photographing nearly all our target birds.
Sergey`s organisation was perfect, but left enough room for all our wishes. Food and entertainment where absolutely "bomba". :-)
We can highly recommend Nature Travel and especially this tour to all nature photographers. Thank you again for two unforgettable weeks Gabi, Brigitte, Frank and Neil from Germany.
