The Rila Monastery Tour
The Rila monastery tour is organised by a very knowledgeable licenced tour guide-driver and is designed for small groups of up to 6 people.
Starting at 9 o’clock we will arrive at the monastery around 11 after 2 two hours of driving including a short break. Sighiseeing will take 2 hours after which some time for lunch or snacks is provided - around one and a half hour. After this break we will drive back to Sofia direction aiming to visit one more UNESCO listed site from Bulgaria - the small but amazing with its frescoes quality Boyana church “St. Nicolas and St. Panteleimon”. There we will have limited but high-quality time by seeing for just 10 minutes (a UNESCO restriction) the fascinating representation of Jesus’s crusifiction, very rare and unusual Last Supper and some other popular scenes from the Bible! Expected return to the city centre of Sofia is around 5.30 pm.
Due to the relatively low cost of the tour prepayment is not nesessary. This can be done on the spot at start in the morning.
