Lakeer - Bahrain is a joint initiative between Meenakshi Kampani and her dear friend Ritu Agrawal Shah from Singapore who initially conceptualized the idea of Lakeer to connect us to the contemporary and exciting artworks of established and promising artists from South Asia. Lakeer, in Urdu means "line" which is the fundamental element of art and also a moving point that connects two end points. L

akeer with its distinct platform in last several years has supported many emerging artists to tell their stories; their unique cultural experiences; and perspectives to a wider audience across globe. With Lakeer - Bahrain we endevour to bring Asian Art to Middle East while taking Middle Eastern Art to Asia and expand our experiences through art and culture.
