Welcome to our two days tour on 29-30 October. On 29th Saturday morning we go from Buja to Muhweza hot springs. Afterwards we will have a picnic at the Source of the Nile. After a picnic we drive to a hotel not far from the waterfalls for dinner,
party and a good sleep. Sunday morning we will spend at Karera waterfalls and its surroundings. Also we will organize morning hike for those who wish to go. And after lunch we will go back to Bujumbura.

Kiganda treaty signing site.
The main historical site linked with the German colonial period is Kiganda in the central province of Muramvya. Kiganda was the capital of the then Kingdom of Burundi. The ruler, King Mwezi Gisabo, initially resisted the German occupation. But his forces were armed with bows and arrows, which were no match for the firepower of the German troops. So the king eventually submitted to the colonisers in 1903, signing the “Treaty of Kiganda”
