Voyages on Lake Titicaca, taking in floating villages, are often less than £10, while Amazon jungle lodges tend to be more affordable than anywhere else in South America. In fact, the only expensive thing about Bolivia is getting there in the first place. A two-week tour with Exodus will deliver all the highlights; transport and most meals are included.

!Madidi Megadiverso!

UNBEATABLE EXPERIENCE OF THE MADIDI JUNGLE
I could not recommend more. We stayed for a four day tour of the rainforest and it exceeded our expectations in every way.
The lodge itself is beautiful and perfectly situated. It’s deep enough in the jungle for you to be able to see plenty of birds and animals. This is important as many of the other lodges are located too close to Rurre and so it is harder to spot wildlife there.
The rooms are very comfortable (we loved the beds) - going to sleep every night by candle light with the sounds of the jungle was a massive highlight.
The food is ~excellent~. I am a vegetarian and it’s the best food I’ve had in Bolivia, healthy and so much variety! Thank you to Nancy and Inés!
The guided walks were fantastic, and our guide Alejandro blew our minds with his knowledge of the plants and animals we encountered. He could trace the sounds and locations of so many types of animals, and it was really special to be able to share his enthusiasm. The trails we walked along were beautiful, and we were so lucky to see a whole family of spider monkeys on our last walk!
We learnt so much about his community and the crucial role he played for the growth of tourism in their territory. Hearing his stories about how he started the first lodge in the area, Chalalan, both amazed and inspired us. Unfortunately, tourism has taken a huge hit in the area since the pandemic, and is really the only way to stall the Bolivian government’s plans to destroy a lot of the surrounding land in order to build dams/hydro electric pumps.
With Madidi Jungle you can be sure that your money is going to a good cause as it all goes back to the local community. The price is very reasonable for what you are getting. They maintain a great ethical standard with their treatment of animals (something that you are unlikely to find if you do a Pampas tour or a survival tour of the jungle) and low impact use of materials, and treat their guests to a top quality experience of the Bolivian Amazon.

We had a wonderfull stay in the . Service (guides, service team, cooks,...) is really high level. Although it was in the middle in the jungle, our cabin (with bathroom) was very clean. Food was from high quality. But the real highlight was offcourse the jungle itself. Our guide, Alejandro, has an icredible amount of knowledge about plants/animals and we learned a lot from him. We were lucky to see monkeys every day and even just next to our cabin. What a great experience and we recommend this tour/ecolodge to everyone!

MADIDI NATIONAL PARK, AMAZON JUNGLE TOUR IN BOLIVIA
One of the best experiences in #Bolivia is an Amazon jungle tour in #MadidiNationalPark. There are not many places on earth where you’ll find such a large number and diversity of animals and plants. With eco-tourism you support the local communities and your visit only has a limited impact on the rainforest. Which is why we stayed at the Madidi Jungle Ecolodge, a fantastic experience.
THE FRINGE TREE FROG DISCOVERED IN MADIDI JUNGLE
#Cruziohylacraspedopus, the fringe tree frog, is a species of frog in the Hylidae family. It is found in the Amazonian lowlands in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, and recently discovered by Alejandro Limaco in #MadidiNationalPark, Bolivian Amazon.

BOLIVIAN JUNGLE: VALUE OF THE MADIDI NATIONAL PARK
Researchers from the Identidad Madidi, discovered more than 120 potentially new species of plant, butterfly, and vertebrate during their epic trek. As a result of the work, #MadidiNationalPark is now considered the most biologically diverse protected area on the planet.
WHITE-LIPPED PECCARY IN MADIDI JUNGLE
The white-lipped peccary (tayassu pecari), has gained a reputation in the #AmazonJungle as the most dangerous of the peccary species, is rather small to be such an aggressive animal and they can weight from 25 to 40 kilograms (55 to 88 pounds). White-lipped peccaries like to travel in large herds, and some of these herds can exceed 300, rarely smaller than 50 individuals. If one individual within a herd is attacked, the entire herd will run to defend the injured individual and can also be very noisy when threatened.

Our beautiful cabins are set on the banks of the Tuichi river, 3 hours away from Rurrenabaque by boat. Nestled right in the heart of the Madidi National Park, the ecolodge provides visitors with an opportunity to experience the real magic of the jungle and interact with the natural environment.
The architecture reflects the traditional housing style of Amazon cultures and the cabins have been constructed using local materials sourced from the surounding area that don´t harm the environment. We have made use of age-old wisdom from our Uchupiamonas ancestors to provide comfort and safety at our facility.
Surrounding the ecolodge, we have designed a network of more than 40kms of trails that lead visitors through the tropical rainforest. Following the trails allows visitors to discover the amazing jungle flora and fauna.
At the ecolodge we make every effort to be as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible. For example, lighting is provided by alternative energy sources and is available for 4 hours per day in the evening. Water for washing facilities is sourced from a natural spring. We also recycle organic waste on site and take any inorganic waste back to Rurrenabaque to be recycled there.
We make every efforts to reduce our ecological footprint. Without your help this is not be possible so please be as environmentally mindful as possible during your stay.
