Bolivian's should be outraged at this !!

A recent study reveals that 10.8% of Bolivians' savings, managed by pension funds, are invested in sectors directly responsible for deforestation in Bolivia. This investment, amounting to $2.569 billion, could jeopardize both retirement savings and the country’s environmental future. To put it in ...

An oldie but still one of my favorite sightings. Unlike other area's we often observe our Jaguars on foot. There is nothing better than seeing a truly wild non habituated Jaguar on foot without another tourist in sight.

This was during an expedition to the rarely visited Gran Chaco in Bolivia. A wild and remote ecosystem that is home to one of the only self sustaining Jaguar population as well as Tapirs, Giant Anteaters, Chaco peccaries as well as uncontacted nomadic tribes.

The Protected Area of Kaa iya National Park was set up by Indigenous groups who wanted to stop the insatiable appetite of Big Agro , Menonites , Ranchers etc who's lust to clear forests for money has nearly destroyed an entire ecosystem.

People often say that tourism is one of the best tools for wildlife and habitat preservation however my question is how can it be when 99 percent of wildlife photographers all flock to exactly the same places to take exactly the same images of the same animals.

Parts of Bolivia are in huge droughts. Every year they are becoming more and more extreme. We are helping by buying water containeers and setting them up in areas that urgently require water.

The water stations are also now being monitored by camera traps so we can observe what species are surviving and drinking the water. With the help our guides and even tourists, we are ensuring the wildlife has some water to get them through until the wet season

By booking tours with us you are helping to protect wildlife during these very hard times.

The sad reality of what's happening to Bolivia's forests. The laws basically encourage fires and deforestation of which conviently is at all time highs after the 2019 Beef and Soya deal with China.

This year is already appearing to be the worst on record for forest loss 🤬🤬🤬🤬🦥

Amazing sighting we had last week while exploring different areas. We saw what we thought from a distance was a tree trunk. However on better inspection turned out of be a Jaguar. It was not moving so my driver actually thought it was dead , so upon closer inspection we thankfully found a healthy abit sleepy large male Jaguar of which we have been frequently observing in recent years. I am actually thinking of naming it after my daughter who loves sleeping as much as this Jaguar 😂

We sat with this magnificent Jaguar for around 5 minutes before leaving it to return to its peaceful slumber.

Something to note. These are truly wild Jaguars. They are NOT habituated to humans. There is something very different when looking in the eyes of a Jaguar that has its rightful fear of humans. Seeing non habituated Jaguars is something most will never get to experience 🐆🐆🐆🐆🇧🇴🇧🇴🇧🇴🇧🇴🇧🇴

World snake day. Every year millions of snakes are pointlessly killed due to lack of education and fear.

Snakes play a vital role in the ecosystem, they stop the spread of disease and can even boost local economies

We love snakes and will always work to show the positive side of these vital yet extremely persecuted animals.

Very sad to see Bolivia's deforestation. It's sadly only the beginning as Palm Oil is being pushed by the current Government as well.

What's even sadder is there is basically not even a tiny attempt from authororities or Government to invest in tourism.

An amazing end to an incredible Expedition to the remote and rarely visited Noel Kempff Mercado National Park.

This was an incredible trip, we visited two spectacular Waterfalls , as well as hiking and boat trips in some of the most untouched forests on the planet.

Wildlife wise, we saw 5 Tapirs , Pink Dolphins, Ocelot, Macaws, Black Caiman, Dwarf Caiman, Spider Monkeys, Giant Otters and so much more.

This was a very challenging trip, 2 days of driving just to reach the starting point, followed by basically 2 days of boating and 2 days of hiking. It's not for everyone and facilities are extremely limited.

More to come from this expedition in the coming week.
