Still one of my favorite Jaguar encounters of 2024.

A sub adult Jaguar playing for around 30 minutes in front of us while it's mother watched from a distance.

Not a single other tourist around and a truly wild non habituated Jaguar.

Amazing sightings of two Lowland Tapirs during a recent Bolivian Safari

This is just an example of the magic Bolivia has to offer. We only wish we had a Government that actually values it's nature and biodiversity.

This year Bolivia has lost 10 million hectares of forests. Laws from the current and past Government ( both basically the same ) Literally promote deforestation, fires and a total distruction of the most magic places on the planet. Authorities waited until 10 million hectares were destroyed before declaring a state of emergency 🤬

Even worse it's gotten so little international media.

With elections in Bolivia coming we truly hope for a change, one that values it's nature and protects it's Lowland Indigenous populations who are the last frontier to Bolivia becoming a giant Chinese Soya farm or Gold mine.

Bolivia has so much more to offer than just Soya, Cattle and Mining.

Wildlife watching in Bolivia

Here is a Sample of some species We encountered during a recent scouting trip. Sadly no good sightings of Jaguars on this trip however we got a quick glimpse and also missed a couple of males that were apparently fighting for around 30 minutes.

These images are just a tiny percentage of the increíble fauna of Bolivia. If the current Government continues on it's path of pro deforestation laws then virtually nothing will remain in the coming years.

From our view we cannot understand why the world's media does not show what's happening in Bolivia in regards to the insane policies created by the Government to basically destroy some of the world's last true wilderness areas !!!!

Bolivian's should be outraged at this !!

A recent study reveals that 10.8% of Bolivians' savings, managed by pension funds, are invested in sectors directly responsible for deforestation in Bolivia. This investment, amounting to $2.569 billion, could jeopardize both retirement savings and the country’s environmental future. To put it in ...

An oldie but still one of my favorite sightings. Unlike other area's we often observe our Jaguars on foot. There is nothing better than seeing a truly wild non habituated Jaguar on foot without another tourist in sight.

This was during an expedition to the rarely visited Gran Chaco in Bolivia. A wild and remote ecosystem that is home to one of the only self sustaining Jaguar population as well as Tapirs, Giant Anteaters, Chaco peccaries as well as uncontacted nomadic tribes.

The Protected Area of Kaa iya National Park was set up by Indigenous groups who wanted to stop the insatiable appetite of Big Agro , Menonites , Ranchers etc who's lust to clear forests for money has nearly destroyed an entire ecosystem.

People often say that tourism is one of the best tools for wildlife and habitat preservation however my question is how can it be when 99 percent of wildlife photographers all flock to exactly the same places to take exactly the same images of the same animals.

Parts of Bolivia are in huge droughts. Every year they are becoming more and more extreme. We are helping by buying water containeers and setting them up in areas that urgently require water.

The water stations are also now being monitored by camera traps so we can observe what species are surviving and drinking the water. With the help our guides and even tourists, we are ensuring the wildlife has some water to get them through until the wet season

By booking tours with us you are helping to protect wildlife during these very hard times.

Madidi National Park in Bolivia is one of South America’s most amphibian-rich protected areas, new research has found. The park is home to at least 127 species of amphibians, the study’s authors write, representing nearly 46% of Bolivia’s total amphibian diversity. Madidi’s diversity is a re...
