Our corporate image based on the legend of TUNUPA, the goddess of salt. There was a time when mountains and hills walked, talked and had human forms. Thus, the TUNUPA volcano was a very beautiful woman with many suitors, but she chose her beloved Kusku to marry. They formed a happy marriage for a long time until another beautiful woman named Kusuña appeared.
Kusuña became infatuated with Kusku and pursued him for years until he succumbed to her charms and left his wife TUNUPA. She, the abandoned woman, cried so much while she was nursing her young son that her milk mixed with her tears and the Salar de Uyuni was formed.
