🌍🐴 A Trail Ride for Peace 🐴🌍
Next year marks 30 years since I began organizing trail rides and horseback expeditions around the globe. 30 years of adventure, friendship, and connecting people across cultures. I've ridden through 64 countries, welcoming riders from all walks of life—sometimes as many as 10 nationalities in one group—and I can tell you, those are the best rides.
On Day 1, no one knows each other. By the farewell, there are tears, laughter, and lifelong friendships. Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Jew, white, black, brown—we are all the same, we are all human and bleed the same color red. Sharing the same passion: horses, nature, travel, and discovering new cultures. This shared love creates harmony, and it’s a beautiful thing to witness.
For years, riders mostly came from Europe, the US, and Canada, but now? The world is joining us in the saddle! Riders from Turkey, India, Syria, Georgia, Namibia, South Africa, Bahrain, South Korea, Mongolia, and more are taking part. This December, we’ll welcome our first guests from Pakistan and Zimbabwe!
Nothing makes me happier than seeing this unity—people from all corners of the world bonding over the joy of horseback riding. And then I ask myself: Why can we, simple people on horseback, find peace, while world leaders can't? The horse, once a soldier’s ally in war, might just be the key to peace!
What if riders like us – real globetrotters—people who truly see the world—come together for a Peace Ride? Let’s form global associations, hold mass rides for peace, and show the world that unity is possible. A ride with as many nationalities as possible. No matter where we’re from or what we believe, we are united by our love of the horse and our desire for a better world.
“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.”
Through travel and riding, we learn, we grow, and we connect. The horse brings us together, to new places, with better people, and closer to the good.
As the Arab proverb says:
“The wind of heaven is that which blows between the ears of a horse.”
And “Life is always better when seen from between the ears of a horse”, is our Entre Orejas proverb.
So, who’s with me? Shall we organize a trail ride for peace? Let’s brainstorm, dream big, and saddle up for love in this world. Enough of hate, enough of daily bad news and the conflicts Russia/Ukraine, Israel/Palistina, Israel/Lebanon, Iran/the west, China/Taiwan, North Korea/the west, …
Ideas are welcome! Who’s in?? 💬❤️
Cheers!
