Jaguar Amazon Tours Welcome
To The Jungle! Discover Life in
the Brazilian Amazon... !
(25)

I am a bilingual English- and Portuguese-speaking jungle guide, born and raised within the Wapishana tribe from the North of Brasil. When I moved to Manaus and started working for various Amazon tour companies, I gained much experience and knowledge within the international tourism industry. Taking clients into the jungle for all types of expeditions, including jungle survival trips, has allowed m

e to build on my pre-existing deep and profound knowledge of life in the wild. Now, it is time for me to share my own indigenous Amazon life experience with you through my new tour company...

I come from an indigenous background, which has instilled in me a deep connection and respect for the Amazon rainforest and its communities. Growing up, I was surrounded by the rich cultural traditions and knowledge of my ancestors. This inspired me to become a jungle guide and share the beauty and importance of the rainforest with visitors from around the world.

My motivation stems from a desire to promote sustainable and responsible tourism practices that benefit both visitors and the local communities. By focusing on Indigenous tourism, I aim to showcase the cultural heritage of the Amazon's indigenous populations while fostering economic empowerment and cultural preservation within these communities.

Cultural sensitivity and respect are at the core of our tour operations. We engage in ongoing consultations with the Indigenous communities to ensure their wishes and values are respected throughout the tour experience. We provide extensive training to our guides on cultural protocols and encourage open and respectful interactions between visitors and community members.

The Brazilian Carnaval is an annual festival held forty-six days before Easter. Carnival celebrations are believed to have roots in the pagan festival of Saturnalia, which, adapted to Christianity, became a farewell to bad things in a season of religious discipline to practice repentance and prepare for Christ's death and resurrection.

Carnival is the most famous holiday in Brazil and has become an event of huge proportions. For almost a week festivities are intense, day and night, mainly in coastal cities.
