A few years ago, the tourism situation in Rio de Janeiro was not the best. 👀

We heard reports from many travelers who complained about negative experiences. It was clear that there was a serious problem with the lack of attention given to visitors, the transportation structure and, especially, communication.

This was a reality that left something to be desired and was in contrast to the tourist potential of our city. And that bothered us.

I Arthur, together with my team, already worked in the night tourism sector, and we have always believed in a creative and engaging approach to providing unique experiences to our customers. Our idea was to be more than just tour guides, we wanted to be travel companions, like friends and, above all, provide fun moments with each experience. It was a more authentic, more human approach.

Along the way I met Lorrana who introduced me to Jesus, I accepted him as my Savior and then the desire to change the direction of the company that was already in my heart only increased and intensified, it no longer made sense for my style of life to work with nightlife experiences, I no longer believed in that.

So I proposed to Lorrana that she become my partner and together we decided to create Pirates Rio, the way you know it today.

Our focus has always been: to serve with excellence foreigners who arrived in Rio de Janeiro in search of unique and unforgettable experiences.

Our #ᴛʙᴛ today is from the most recent holiday we had, Labor Day, May 1st!

Here in Brazil we have several holidays during the year and this allows us to have more time to rest and enjoy these moments with friends and family!

It's a carioca classic to enjoy these dates on one of the incredible paradisiacal beaches that we have in the city, but this time we opted for something different! We did a 4.6km walk from the MAM (Museum of Modern Art) to Botafogo Beach! At the time we didn't even realize how far we walked but the next day we felt the pain of this adventure 😅
