The shearwater vessel is a perfect fit for Abaco’s weather and water. When its windy and choppy, she will get you there safely and dry, yet be sleek enough to float
right up onto the flats. If you’d like to wade, we highly encourage you to bring own wading shoes. The boat will be outfitted with several spinning rods of varying sizes, and limited fly-fishing equipment. Its best to communicate with your guide via email prior to the trip and we can coordinate if you will be bringing your own equipment. We can offer backwater fishing in combination with most of the other trips listed below, please provide as much detail as possible so that we can provide a package which meets your needs. Reef fishing
South Abaco Adventures offer’s reef-fishing tours of 4 and 6 hours. Target species will include mangrove snappers, yellowtail snappers, “strawberry grouper”, mackerel, jacks, etc. Your catch can be processed for you to take home or we can coordinate for one of the local restaurants to prepare your catch that evening/afternoon. Please coordinate this on the inquiry form. All equipment and snacks provided. We can offer reef fishing in combination with most of the other trips listed below, please provide as much detail as possible so that we can provide a package which meets your needs. Snorkeling
South Abaco Adventures provides excellent snorkeling opportunities from the 24’ shearwater vessel. Our guides are all trained in first aid/cpr and safety us of the utmost importance to our assurance of your enjoyment of Abaco’s natural environment. We have numerous reefs in various depths based on your diving abilities/preferences. Of course, weather is always a factor; your guide will make the final determination of location based on prevailing conditions. This is a trip which is tailored to your desires, please give us as much detail as possible on the inquiry form. Your level of experience and expectations for the trip are two of the most critical components. Inshore trolling
Weather permitting South Abaco Adventures offer’s some limited trolling as a combination to any of the trips involved. Due to the limitations of the vessel, trolling will be limited to inshore and near shore waters. Species such as African pompano, cubera snapper, barracuda, and large jack fish are all realistic targets for inshore trolling. This is a custom experience; please give us as much information as possible so that we can prepare a trip that exceeds your expectations. Lobster diving (in season)
In season and based on appropriate skill level (underwater aerobic activity required), your guide will take you on an adventure to capture spiny lobsters that inhabit the waters of South Abaco. Local bag and size limits apply. This is a custom experience based upon your experience level, please let us know as much detail as possible on in the inquiry form. Conch diving
On this tour, your guide will take you into the Abaco backwaters for an adventure of snorkeling and conch diving. Boat will come loaded with sodas, snacks, and your guide will bring all the fixings for fresh conch salad to be made to cap off your adventure with a cold beverage of your choice. This is a great addition to one of the fishing packages as a way to end the day with a splash in the tropical waters. All trips will include two drinks and a snack per person. SAA has the latest in electronics, including go pros, high resolution digital cameras, etc. SAA can memorialize your trip by creating videos, slideshows, etc. (pre ordered and delivered after the trip).

Rigid Hull Snorkeling
Custom snorkeling boat with the capability of carrying 18 passengers. This vessel can be trailered so please ask about our ability to provide services to the outer Cays from Marsh Harbour to Treasure Cay. Green Turtle Cay, Guana Cay, Man O War Cay, Elbow Cay, Lubbers Quarters are all options. We can book these trips beginning in the fall of 2013. Please inquire on our calendar. Offshore Fishing
Diesel inboard sport fish boat to accommodate all of the fishing needs from mahi to wahoo to marlin. Reef fishing to the Bahama blue waters. Please let us know your level of interest, we will begin booking offshore fishing trips when the season picks up again in November 2013. Please inquire on our calendar for the winter wahoo season. South Abaco Adventures can offer terrestrial excursions to the historic hole in the wall lighthouse on our JEEP SCRAMBLER. Imagine a picnic lunch overlooking the intersection of the Atlantic Ocean and the Northwest Providence Channel. Built in 1826 this historic facility is located in Abaco National Park. The SCRAMBLER can also deliver you safely to and from Pete’s Pub in Little Harbour. The fee is based per hour for the scrambler. Meals/snacks are extra.
