True Beauty. Folks come to Exuma for these tranquil waters but they are always surprised how much time they actually spend inside. Escaping the harsh midday sun, the occasional rainfall or winds. The Exuma Outpost is conceived like an oasis. ocean on one side but cradling lush palmtrees and our rain pool in its sheltering atrium.

With every stay the Exuma Outpost treehouse get’s a few more touches. Just painted the Interior dark, dark blue. Some of the neighborhood kids stopped by to check out the scene. I built this for the kid in me… living out my Robinson Crusoe fantasies. This place offers the best view and there is always a cool breeze. _____________________________________________________

Catch a Fire.
Nothing like a warming bonfire after a day in the ocean. The palm trees here at The Exuma Outpost shed quite a lot so we built a large fireplace to get rid of them and those countless coconut shells. Best of all… coconut smoke is the native Bahamians recipe against those pesky mosquitoes.

After the Storm.

The Caribbean storms are a sight to behold. I love their sight … it’s always epic. The other day the last sunlight came through turning the entire coastline into gold. Most of the beach had vanished big in the morning it was all back again and fully restored. No day is like another… each day here is unique and spectacular.

Paradise in Paradise
This is the third time we have visited Exuma and we have seen the Outpost before and thought was very unique. there is a very cool and artistic teel of the Outpost from the color coded books to the amazing bluetooth speaker in the living area. the living space was perfect it was so comfortable inside and out. We were 10 people and we had so much space. the kitchen counter top was so big you we have phenomenal chefs preparing an amazing surf and turf meal for us while others were eating lunch at the same time. The deck is amazing and special because there is no other house with a deck in that community that is so close to the water.
The place was well-cleaned with nothing remarkable. Check-in was smooth and in fact we were able to check in early. It felt as if Onike would do anything we asked. She was so flexible and
accommodating. She was very descriptive in her responses not leaving out any details and she also responded rapidly. It was as if she was waiting for us to ask her a question.
This location (forbes hill and this specific beach) is totally underrated. It feels so private and the water is amazing. It was very calm and such a beautiful sunrise and sunset. We even had a boat pick us up for an excursion right from that beach.

You can’t really call it a living room. Yes, it’s intimate for a dinner but with the open plan kitchen and kitchen island and the vast entertainment section/ library it also serves as a large event room. The Exuma Outpost is seemed out a lot for all sorts of celebrations… weddings, family reunions and all sorts of seminars.
