Mornings will have our small group learning about or working with corals. Afternoons will be on your own -- paddle board, snorkel, kayak, beach time, visit Freeport for shopping at the straw market, or just relax. Anyone 13 and over with an interest in marine ecosystems and especially corals is welcome. Scuba skills are not necessary. Most activities can be accomplished snorkeling. Corals are the “canary in the coal mine” of the sea. The health of a coral reef communicates the health of the ocean and its dependent plants and animals. Healthy coral communities are essential to ocean health and ultimately our own. Corals need all the help they can get and sometimes that means propagating them on to an artificial reef structure. That is exactly what we will be doing, at a beautiful beach, in the Bahamas.

Nature-based Solutions (NbS) has become a buzz term recently but it is actually something we have been doing for a very long time. When implementing Nature-based Solutions, we look at a problem we have and how nature can help us solve this problem.
