Oh, the not-so-fun surprises you find when doing a #remodel 😤😱😩. The previous owners built a small, open closet in the loft that faces into the room, forcing the bed 🛏to be positioned the ‘wrong’ way against the wall (nobody wants their head on the same wall as the door🚪- it’s bad for sleeping 😴and it’s really bad #fengshui). When we moved the closet, we found a giant, gaping hole behind it leading to the air conditioning duct that they never closed up 😡. Keep in mind that we are on an island that is only six miles long and ¼ mile wide- there is no #homedepot or #lowes to run out to and buy more materials to cover the hole, so now Pete’s cutting the closet to fit into the hole, which is on a 45 degree angle because the ceiling is pitched, making it even more of a challenge.
