Effective November 1, 2020, The Bahamas will require all travelers to:

1. Obtain a COVID-19 RT PCR molecular diagnostic test five (5) days prior to arrival. The name and address of the lab where the test was taken must be clearly displayed on the test result.

2. Apply for a Bahamas Health Travel Visa at travel.gov.bs.

3. For the duration of the visit, complete a daily online health questionnaire for symptom tracking purposes.

4. Take a COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test on Day 5 of the visit (unless departing on day 5 or sooner). More information is available here.

5. Always wear a mask and always social distance in public places.

Additionally, effective November 14, 2020, all visitors will be required to opt-in to mandatory COVID-19 health insurance when applying for their Health Travel Visa. The insurance will cover travelers for the duration of their stay in The Bahamas. Fees for the Bahamas Health Travel Visa, inclusive of Day 5 Rapid Antigen Test and mandatory health insurance, are announced as follows: as follows:

$40 – Visitors staying up to four nights and five days.
$40 – Citizens and returning residents.
$60 – Visitors staying more than four nights.
Free - Children 10 years and under

Until further notice, 24-hour weekend lockdowns for New Providence (Nassau) and Abaco Islands and their surrounding islands and cays remain in place from Fridays at 8:00pm through the following Monday at 5:00 am.

Until further notice, a curfew is in effect on New Providence (Nassau), Abaco and Grand Bahama on Mondays through Fridays from 8:00pm each night until 5:00am the following morning.

-Travelers must complete an electronic Health Visa at travel.gov.bs. Applications take up to 72 hours for processing.
-Present a COVID-19 RT-PCR Test with a negative result no more than 5 days prior to the travel date.

On Arrival:
-14-day quarantine is required upon entry.
-Face masks are required.

- As of Wednesday the 22nd of July 2020 at midnight, international commercial flights and commercial vessels carrying passengers will not be permitted to enter our borders, except for commercial flights from Canada, the United Kingdom, and the European Union. [No incoming or outbound flights to the United States]

- Private International flights and charters for Bahamians, residents and visitors will be permitted.
