Been off Facebook for a while. I felt bad about celebrating the beauty of the Bahamas after Hurricane Joaquin devastated some of the southern Islands. Time to be back. Looking forward to sharing again. Cheers

As many of you know the southern Islands of the Bahamas has been devastated by hurricane Joaquin. In particular, Long Island because of it's population, is really suffering. However, all of the southern islands were severely impacted. The majority of the relief efforts have come from private and corporate sectors. I have spoken with locals on the ground in Long Island and confirmed that the relief fund I just posted is being very effectively distributed and on-going donations are desperately needed. There are several sites raising money and these may be very good as well. I can however say that I have verified this one with those on the ground.

I got to play tourist for a week on Harbor Island. Love this room at the Ocean View Club with the palm trees going through the roof.
Amazing food on that little island!
