Buli Tsho/ Buli Lake is a sacred and picturesque lake located in the Zhemgang district of Bhutan. The lake is surrounded by pristine nature with dense forest. It is considered a sacred site by the people of Buli, and many view it as a place of spiritual energy and pilgrimage.
Zhemgang district of Bhutan is known as the most remote place with rich biodiversity. It is a home to a variety of plants and animal species, some of which are rare and endangered.
Therefore, a trip to Buli lake will take one inside of this rich forest.

However, visiting the lake is strictly prohibited from 1st day of 8th month to 15th day of 10th month of Bhutanese calendar.

Tshechu, or "festival," is held annually in the glory of Buddhism across Bhutan. Quite a few festivals end with unfurling the sacred Guru Thongdroel or Guru Thanka. The word "Thongdroel" means "liberation by sight." This Thanka is an appliqué embroidery of Guru Padmasambhava, who brought Buddhism to Bhutan.

Bhutanese food is characterized by its spiciness, simplicity and reliance on locally sourced ingredients.

It is not uncommon if you come across phallus symbolism throughout the temple complex because this destination is not only popular to tourist but also local. It is a well known temple to seek blessing for fertility and childbirth.

"Chime Lhakhang" a Buddhist monastery built in 1499 is located in Punakha district of Bhutan, renowned for its association with the Buddhist saint Drukpa Kunley, who was known as the "Divine Madman" for his unorthodox teachings and eccentric behavior.
