Paro Taktsang, known as the 'Tiger's Nest', stands as one of the Bhutan's most renowned monasteries, attracting admirers from around the globe. Perched precariously on a cliff, it offers breathtaking views of forests and the Paro valley. Taktsang has become one of the best sightseeing in Paro Bhutan. Equally captivating is the origin story of this remarkable structure. It is believed that in the 7th century, Guru Rinpoche flew to the current temple site on the back of a tigress and meditated in a cave to subdue an evil demon dwelling there. Subsequently, in 1692, Paro Taktsang was constructed within the same cave. Beyond its religious significance, Taktsang is a must-visit destination that showcases the beauty and grandeur of Bhutanese architecture.
