Wangchuk Tours and Treks Bhutan The flagship company of Wangchuk Tours & Treks has been in the tourism business for 15 years and currently has 3 hotels in Bhutan and a handicraft business.

The founders of the company have extensive experience and knowledge in the tourism industry and hotel management. They are prominent business people in the country who have a strong opinion on trying to enhance the private sector and believe that raising the overall standards of Bhutanese businesses is healthy for the nation’s welfare. One of the co-founders Ms. Chencho Tshering has a professional

background in the hotel and travel industry and is an active figure in the Business community of Thimphu. She is an executive member of the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and has also served a term as an Executive Committee member in the South Asian Association for Regional cooperation (SAARC) Chambers of commerce and industries. 17.12.2023 A much awaited National Day for Bhutans citizens 🇧🇹
With the country facing an exodus post pandemic and a brain drain, His Majesty’s address on his vision for the country on National Day resonated with the people and provided a great sense of relief and hope for the future.
Celebrations ended with a song and light tribute to His Majesty for his sacrifice and tireless efforts for the people of Bhutan, leaving everyone in tears.

Every year, Bhutanese men and women in the highlands of Bhutan collect Cordyceps that is grown at altitudes 14,500ft. to 17,000ft.

Cordyceps are fungi that grow parasitically on caterpillars of particular moths and after killing and filling it with mycelium, turns to grass in the summer. Hence the local name Yartsa Guenbub which literally translates to “winter worm, summer grass”

Cordyceps have been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries due to its multiple health benefits such as increasing health and vitality, combat of aging/age related disease, anemia, respiratory/cardiovascular/kidney/ liver disease and many more.
