Travel and Adventure Lotus Adventures started in 1998 as an adventure travel company.

Apart from the normal cultural tours and festival tours, Lotus Adventures specializes in Trekking, Mountain Biking, Fishing and White Water Rafting and Kayaking. Lotus Adventures was the pioneer in introducing white water sports in Bhutan and was instrumental in surveying the various rivers and developing the sport and training the first Bhutanese river guides. us expeditions on the rivers, the first one in 1999, where a group of Americans kayaked the rivers from west to the east in Trashigang. In 2002, Lotus Adventures opened the western river, the Amo Chhu for a multi activity trip, trekking for the first part starting in Haa valley and descending to Ammo Chhu basin Eventually, kayaking and rafting on the last leg and ending up Phuentsholing on the Indian border in the south.
