Ed Sheeran LIVE concert in Thimphu on 24 Jan 2025 evening.

Ed Sheeran is set to perform tomorrow at Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, attracting a crowd of 23,000, including hundreds of international tourists who traveled specifically for the concert.

The event highlights the global appeal of the artist.

Fans from various countries, including India, Singapore, and Thailand, expressed their excitement for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Many are especially thrilled to see Ed Sheeran live in Bhutan for the first time. Local Bhutanese fans from beyond Thimphu are also attending.

The concert will start at 5:30 pm, after performances by four local bands. Entry will begin at 2 pm for ticket holders at designated checkpoints.

Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) Incentives:-
Bhutan Government announces 3 New SDF Incentives to encourage long-stay visits in Bhutan between June 01, 2023 to December 31, 2024.
1. 4+4: Pay the SDF of US$200 per night per person, for the first 4 nights, and receive up to 4 additional nights without the delay levy.
2. 7+7: Pay the SDF of US$200 per night per person, for the 7 nights, and receive up to 7 additional nights without the daily levy.
3. 12+18: Pay the SDF US$200 per night per person, for the 12 nights, and receive up to eighteen additional nights without the daily levy.
As per the Tourism Levy Act of Bhutan 2022, the SDF is exempt for children of 5 years and below; and there is a concessionary levy rate of 50% for children between the ages of 6-12 years. The incentives are available for full US Dollar SDF-paying tourists, and for stays in Bhutan.
