The founder and proprietor of the company, Sonam Wangchuk is a former government official who served for many years in various capacities in several departments and agencies of the Government of Bhutan. During his years of service he also had the opportunity to travel widely to many countries around the world, and it was in part his travel experiences which motivated him to start his own tour company. A highlight of many our tours is a visit to Ogyen Choling, the proprietor's ancestral home in the remote Tang valley of Bumthang district. The old estate and manor dating back to over a century, today houses the Ogyen Choling museum which is the first private museum in Bhutan. The museum has an extensive display of articles and objects that were of common daily usage in the household, and also a large collection of religious texts and other literary works. A tour of the museum provides an insightful look into Bhutan's cultural and religious traditions and practices.
