A bit grainy, but here the wild dogs harassing the hyena. Will post more later!!

Hyena killed this young buffalo in the early hours of this morning! Lots of great sounds then wild dogs arrived and seem to have harassed them off. Very close to our chef, Givemore’s, accommodation, so this would have worked in the wild dogs favor as they are way less concerned with people than are the hyena’s. Feel sure the wild dogs will be around for days now👍🏻👍🏻

Our Story

Thobolo’s Bush Lodge is situated one hundred and ten kilometres out of Kasane, all on a good tar road, except for the final thirteen kilometres into the bush, on a sandy road - the cutline road to Savuti. Follow the signs. The lodge is located above the largest natural pan in the area - Barangwe Pan. The Lodge is completely off the grid operated entirely by solar. We have solar boreholes that supply water all year round to Barangwe Pan with the result that the Wildlife is amazing. We have just completed a campsite and it is the only campsite in the area that is actually in the bush. The individual sites are not on top of each other offering the maximum privacy for each camping party. The Lodge and Campsite are an easy day drive from both Chobe and Savuti although many of our guests see more Wildlife from our facilities than they do in these areas. Thobolo’s has recently been given the Greenest Rating Botswana has. One of the last Wildlife Pearls in the country. Come and experience it for yourselfs. Without exception every guest we have had, has pledged to return.
