Safari Trotter is a privately-owned Botswana company. It consists of a team of guides who have been on the field for decades.
Each of our guides grew up learning all the bush tricks from their grandparents & continue to use the skills.
Kala Camp accommodates 14 guests in 7 light, airy and spacious traditional tents. The tents are tastefully furnished with comfort in mind and each have extra length beds, super-sized mosquito net, desk, seating, fan, lights and handy plug points. The bathrooms are all en-suite and have a shower, wash basin and toilet. Each tent has its own verandah from which to enjoy the magnificent sunsets and breath-taking views.
Kala Camp
Xugana Lagoon is widely recognised as the most spectacular permanent water site in the entire Okavango Delta, which itself is Africa’s largest and most awe-inspiring oasis. The Okavango River rises in the highlands of Angola yet never reaches the sea; instead its immense waters empty over the sands of the Kalahari, where the great thirst of the desert is quenched in a wilderness of freshwater lagoons, channels and islands.

MmaTsebe Tented Camp is located within a secluded private position of 25 hectares in Khwai along the Mbudi River. 30 minutes’ game drive from North Gate Moremi Game Reserve, 30 minutes’ game drive from Khwai airstrip, and 3.5 hours drive from Maun. The popular game rich area of Khwai shares borders with Chobe National Park, Savuti and Moremi Game Reserve, MmaTsebe Tented Camp therefore has easy access to these iconic game locations in Northern Botswana.

Karangoma is located on the north-eastern arm of the Okavango Delta, virtually at the centre of the vast KAZA Transfrontier Park that overlaps parts of Botswana, Namibia, Angola, Zambia and Zimbabwe. At more than 500 square kilometres in size, KAZA is larger in area than the state of California and almost the size of France. The camp’s location at a strategic and pivotal overlap between the waters of the Okavango and the vast northern woodlands means that it boasts an unusually wide array of habitats, large mammal species and guest activities in a focused area.
Access to the camp is by air, first by fixed wing light aircraft from Maun to the Vumbura Airstrip (130km; 25 minute flight), and then followed by a low level helicopter flight (30km; 10-12 minute flight) directly into Karangoma camp.

Located in the interior of the 200,000 hectare Khwai Private Reserve, Hyena Pan offers brilliant value for money and an all-round fantastic safari in a private concession.
With only eight, recently upgraded tents, the camp is intimate, comfortable and welcoming.
Spend an afternoon in the underground hide, a favourite amongst photographers, and capture some shots that you’ll remember for life.
Located next to the only permanent source of water for miles around (a magnet for wildlife – elephant in particular), you don’t even need to leave the comfort of your room for top-notch wildlife-watching.

Overlooking the Khwai River, Feline Fields Vintage Camp's lounge and dining tents are the perfect place to kick back and relax during the heat of the day and enjoy wonderfully flavourful meals while sharing stories of the day's adventures. With the décor taking its inspiration from the campaign days of old with a hint of Moroccan pizazz thrown in for good measure, the comfortable folding chairs, soft floor scatters and plump, cushioned day beds and chairs are the perfect place to curl up.

Built on a raised, wrap-around railway sleeper private deck using entirely recycled materials, Sitatunga Private Island can accommodate up to eight guests as part of Great Plains latest Okavango Delta water-based Réserve-Collection Safari Camp.
Sitatunga’s design tells the story of the Okavango, a camp surrounded by water referenced to a Robinson Crusoe experience, and one that has had indigenous fishermen in the region for over 200 years. Those fishermen designed and used fishing baskets and traps made from reeds in the shape of a funnel so Dereck Joubert took this reference and designed the rooms as tents hanging inside of giant bamboo fisherman baskets. The interiors as a result draw on a colour range that you can see by looking out at the Okavango, misty greens, and light-bleached woods.

Setari Camp is Setswana for ‘Tree’ and has been lovingly designed to integrate the giant riverine forest and palms trees which dominate the island. Winding walkways, high above the ground, interlink the tents, dining/sitting room, pool and gym, creating a massive tree-house from which to marvel at the panoramic views over the crystal-clear channels and papyrus beds beyond.

Shinde Enclave is situated on a private concession which allows guided walks, Mokoro excursions and night drives in addition to game drives and motorboat trips. Shinde Enclave’s excellent location in the Okavango Delta ensures a combination of permanent water access for year-round water activities and large dry areas for game drive routes. This blend of environments provides the habitat for a consistently wide variety of wildlife, including the elusive sitatunga antelope and a healthy population of lion. Fishing is available throughout the year (with the exception of January and February), with excellent bream fishing from May to September and superb chances of landing tigerfish during September to mid-November.
This area offers an exclusive hideaway and perfect location from which a family or small group of friends can explore the Okavango Delta.

You can’t dream this kind of adventure up. North lsland Camp Natural Selection
Mma Dinare is set in a private 272 km2 concession, adjacent to Moremi Game reserve on the south-eastern side of the Delta. It overlooks the Gomoti River and its flood plains and the camp has been designed to embrace the natural surroundings. This is a 100% eco-friendly development, featuring the latest in solar and waste technology.
Accommodation consists of nine stylish tents, including a family tent all of which overlook the Gomoti River. There is also one guide's tent.
Both central areas have been built in keeping with our other properties - open, thatched spaces that allow guests to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings, whilst watching wildlife and birds from the comfort of an armchair or the bar. A hidden jewel on the Xudum River, Kanana is located in the southwest of the Okavango Delta. The area encompasses a necklace of islands dotted with palms, figs, ebony and knobthorn, and is home to a myriad of birds, plants and animals. The nature of the habitat means it is the perfect place to experience the diversity of species found within the Okavango Delta.

Mashatu Euphorbia Villas is an intimate composition of 8 luxury villas. The shape of the villas draws inspiration from the local Mopane pod. The Mopane tree is hugely significant in this area, as it is the main source of food for all the animals during the very dry winter months. The curves and unique shapes are moulded with local raw materials, to echo the breath-taking natural beauty of the reserve.

Chitabe Lediba is just far enough away from big sister camp Chitabe to provide an intimate escape for small groups or families. Scattered in the forest of a large, beautiful and palm-studded island deep in the Okavango Delta, Delta Camp’s chalets are designed and built to take advantage of the many indigenous, old-growth trees of the island forest. The buildings cannot improve upon the natural landscape; they must therefore blend into it as unobtrusively as possible.
This sometimes means that a tree grows through a roof or a floor, it always means that you will find no glass in the windows and it very often means that the building itself is elevated onto a deck. Each spacious, elegant chalet is individually designed and decorated to fit discreetly into its setting and to take advantage of the spectacular views of the surrounding bush and flood-plains.

Kiri Camp offers a combination of both game drives and water activities. Based on a private concession, these activities will take you to some of the more remote areas in the delta, previously inaccessible.
A motorboat ride during peak flood times promises to enthrall you and captivate you, with the chance of seeing iconic wildlife from the river. Glide on quiet mokoro’s through the water lilies and view wildlife from below as you sail along at water level height. The wildlife in the Kiri area is diverse and plentiful, renown for its lion and buffalo interactions and rare wild dog numbers. As Kiri Camp is in a private concession, off road and night driving are allowed, as are armed nature walks through the surrounding islands with knowledgeable guides.

Meno a Kwena isn’t a hyper-luxurious camp – and that’s why we love it. We don’t have private butlers and air conditioning, but what we do have are 10 classic tents perched on a 100-foot high clifftop overlooking the river and offering some of the best ‘armchair’ game viewing we’ve ever seen. Each is classically-styled, with a few eccentricities thrown in here and there; think locally-woven fabrics mixed with colonial-style furniture, and simple fittings brightened by snippets of colour. All have fully-equipped ensuite bathrooms, and there are two family units, both with inter-leading tents (one with three beds for children, one with 2 beds), perfect for the kids.
The canvas lounge and dining tents are piled high with books and trinkets, and decorated with old-world artefacts, and our piece de resistance – a sculpted crocodile! And it’s not there for no reason – Meno a Kwena literally translates as “teeth of the crocodile.” Keep an eye on the river below from just about any comfy chair in the living area, or plunge into the Flintstone-esque rocky swimming pool, and watch the animals doing the same below you.

Duke’s Camp offers twelve canvas safari suites, each one carefully positioned to offer unforgettable views of the Okavango Delta. The tents are on raised wooden decks and sit elegantly amongst leadwood and ebony trees.
Taking their cue from the style and panache of the original Jack’s Camp, the guest tents at Duke’s Camp revel in the much-loved vintage safari aesthetic of plush fabrics, Persian rugs and hand-carved four-poster beds.
Think mahogany sideboards filled with African memorabilia; richly-patterned kilims atop wooden floors and a butler tray decked with a steaming pot of filter coffee come morning. It’s a seamless blend of yesteryear charm, safari savoir-faire and deep respect for the surrounding natural ecosystems.

Kwara offers, within the exclusive concession in which it is located, a wide variety of activities. In addition to game drives, both day and night, the camp offers mokoro trips, as well as fishing (spinning equipment is provided but fly fisherman need to bring their own equipment). Boat trips are on a double-decker boat that visits the Godikwe Lagoon in the waters of the Moremi Game Reserve, which is known for the abundant varieties of birdlife especially during nesting season.
Kwara is known for its consistent sightings of predators, including lion, cheetah, leopard and on rare occasion – white rhino! Herds of elephants also frequent the area, as well as giraffe, zebra, sitatunga, lechwe, impala and hippos.
