You might know the Okavango Delta, but the Kweene Trails is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced! As it is booked for private groups only on a sole use basis, when we are out on game drive or walking, or silently gliding along the waterways on mokoro, we will see no other human…. The area feels truly wild and untouched.

The most special time of the year. The flood waters have arrived and brought with it a life changing sequence of events. Soon the floodplain grasses will send new shoots of green nutritious growth above the surface of the water attracting all the resident grazers in abundance. Oh the wonders of the Okavango Delta... What makes the Kweene Trails so special for us is its remoteness, accessible only to our guests and only by helicopter. This mode of transportation allows for a perspective-altering experience in seeing the wild, untouched beauty of the delta from the sky. Moving day! After your first two days in either Kweene or Magwegwe Camp, our team loads up everything and moves to a new location for your next two nights. Remember: our expeditions are exclusive and completely wild!
While your camp is moved, you can enjoy a full day in the bush either walking, driving or enjoying a Mokoro excursion.

On our recent Classic Portfolio MegaFam trip we picked up two big males on a freshly killed old male buffalo from the Heli on a doors off sunrise scenic flight. After the flight we headed straight out in the vehicle to find out more and identify who the males were. The intrigues of our lion dynamics just got more complicated as we discovered our two old males are back, it has been some time since we saw them last and now they have settled back in.
