Discover the Magic of Lake Kariba !
Did you know:
1)Lake Kariba is a man-made expanse of water and the largest man-made lake in the world.
2)The name Kariba was derived from the Shona word ‘’Kariva’’ which means a little trap or bridge.
3)It is fed by the great Zambezi River which starts its 2700-kilometre journey in north-west Zambia and reaches the Indian Ocean through Mozambique.
4)The lake shelters an area of 5500 square kilometers, and it spreads for an additional 280km. With an extreme width of 40 kilometers, its shore is fragmented by numerous rivers.
5)It is situated halfway amid the source and mouth of the Zambezi River and is 200 kilometers downstream of Victoria Falls.
6)Stretching across the Zimbabwe-Zambia border, Lake Kariba is the largest man-made lake in the world and a paradise for wildlife and water enthusiasts alike. With stunning sunsets, incredible fishing, and a backdrop of untouched wilderness, it’s the perfect destination for adventure and relaxation.

Malachite Cruise Boat is a 60-foot boat that sleeps up to 12 in 6 roomy air-conditioned cabins which all lead from a central passageway on the lower level with water level views. Twin or double configurations are available, and all cabins have ensuite bathrooms with a shower. As the boat is sold as sole use there are no single supplements and children of all ages are welcome.
The top deck has a covered lounge and dining area with open sides and an open deck with fire pit, plunge pool and loungers with umbrellas providing choice of comfortable spots to relax and catch the lake breeze. A self-service honesty bar completes the sense that this is your boat to enjoy.
