Last Sunday, the water made its way to Disaneng, the area where we live in Maun. It was another great time spent watching the miracle of the Okavango π

Setting up a rooftop tent for the night: easy or not easy?
In French, we'd say: "un jeu d'enfant!"
Denis and his two daughters had such a great time in Moremi and Chobe with lots of beautiful sightings... More to follow π

For my birthday earlier this year, I received the most amazing present ππ€π
The African bush is my happy place. Thank you mother nature.
Large groups of zebra are currently found around the Baines baobabs. They are probably on their way to the Chobe River, where they migrate every year. It takes around 80 days to complete the route. Good luck to you, guys! π¦

Would anyone like to go for a swim? π
Crocodiles feed mainly on fish, but they also prey on game such as antelopes, zebra and buffalo. This young buffalo was caught while the herd was trying to cross the Chobe River.

It is not common to come across hyenas along the river in Chobe National Park. Most of the time, they are active in the first hours between the upper road and the tarred road. What a lovely sighting to start an early morning self-drive safari, donβt you think ? π

This is an exceptional sighting that Carole and Pascal had in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve (wait for the the noise!). We are very jealous as we have never had the chance to meet a wild porcupine. Of course, a porcupine plus a leopard is just phenomenal!
Thank you again for sharing your fantastic memories with us π

Finding a lion on your own and spending an exclusive time with it is what makes a self-drive safari so special. No crowded vehicle. No loud radio. No noisy people. Just silence, nature and you.

Did you know that male giraffes fight by rubbing and twisting their necks together?
Most of the time, the fight is not really intense and is engaged in as a pastime. But sometimes the fight is much more serious and can result in death.
When it's a low intensity fight like this, it looks like they are practising a kind of Tai Chi. Beautiful, isn't it?

As the Boteti River is quite low at the moment, the Khumaga ferry is now out of service. You can cross the river and here is what to expect. Follow the tracks, don't be surprised by the short plunge and everything should be fine π
