Our recent Safari with the Campbell group captured a rare moment: lions stalking a baby hippo, showcasing the circle of life in its most intense form. While we’ve chosen to share only a glimpse of this powerful event, it serves as a reminder of the harsh realities of the wild. Nature is both beautiful and brutal, and we’re grateful to experience it firsthand.

Last month Neil guided a fantastic group on a 7 day safari through Moremi, Khwai & Savute. They had some nice things to say about us and were really happy to have recorded 108 bird species.

A note to say how much we enjoyed the mobile safari with Neil.

Amazing! It was an absolute highlight of our two months away from our home in NZ.
Neil is an awesome guide and host and looked after us all so well with such incredible wildlife, plant and birdlife knowledge (I thought you said he didn't know much about birds!)

The support team were also exceptional (responding to all quirky requests without complaint!) and creating amazing food (credit to your menu organisation Kate).
It was a great start to meet you at the lodge before we left Kate and to witness the surely orchestrated visit by the herd of elephants to the water for our first sunset.

Your appeasement of repeated alcohol supply concerns raised (by some) before the trip was greatly appreciated and certainly no one went thirsty and there were no complaints!"

Road conditions are not great this time of year! The constant traffic in and out of the game areas during the peak season has left fine dust and lots of corrugated sections. You may want to look at fly in and out to start your safari! In Khwai last week on our morning game drive we came across what we initially thought was a "sleeping" elephant against a termite mound. Until we noticed the rigor mortis. Completely untouched and still unfound. The following morning we went back to find the most beautiful leopard feasting on the carcass. Did you know leopards face threats from habitat loss, human-wildlife conflict, poaching for their beautiful coats and body parts, and retaliatory killings. They are listed as a vulnerable species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
