Got one! What a fascinating sighting of a young lioness hunting doves at a seep in the dry Savute channel a few years ago. Moments like these are a highlight for any wildlife photographer. The art of being in the right place at the right time! Join us as we explore the wild north of Botswana including Moremi Game Reserve, Savute, Chobe National Park, Nxai Pan and the Boteti River. Time for a bit of colour! Lights, camera, action in the Okavango Delta as a Leopard returns to ground after a short rain storm. The photographic light was just perfect and the cloudy background enhanced the image ten fold. November and March are some my of my favourite months to travel to Botswana! Chances of seeing these beautiful animals in the wild in Botswana are extremely high. Although usually shy and secretive, once we come across them, they can become very relaxed with our presence. In Africa, the number of recorded antelope species sits at around 70. They come in all shapes and form, none more impressive than the Sable antelope. This is a bull that we photographed along the edge of the Okavango Delta eco system.

What a year of observing and photographing Botswana’s wildlife! This mother and her youngster were seen in the southern parts of the mighty Okavango Delta system. He is a big boy now and soon he will leave her to make his own mark.

A leap of Lechwe in Botswana’s Okavango Delta. Described as being semi aquatic, the delta is perfect habitat for them. With powerful hindquarters, they leap through the waterways and floodplains to escape predation. Image from Duba in the delta.
