President Dr Nangolo Mbumba congratulates President-elect, H.E. Bassirou Diomaye Faye on his victory during the 25 March 2024 Presidential elections in Senegal
The Republic of Senegal held Presidential elections on Monday, 25 March 2024 where H.E. Bassirou Diomaye FAYE emerged victorious during the first round of voting and became President-elect of the Republic of Senegal.
In his message of felicitations to President-elect, H.E Bassirou Diomaye Faye, President Nangolo Mbumba says:
“I wish to congratulate President-elect H.E. Bassirou Diomaye Faye on his brilliant victory during the March 2024 Presidential elections in Senegal. The peaceful nature of the elections shows that Senegal continues to be a stellar example of stability and progress in Africa.
Namibians remembers fondly the assistance given to SWAPO and young Namibians by the people of Senegal during our struggle for liberation. Since independence, our bilateral relations have grown from strength to strength. I therefore look forward to working with H.E. Bassirou Diomaye Faye in the interest of mutually beneficial bilateral relations and a multilateral order that champions a prosperous Africa and a fairer world.”

MUNDUU APPOINTED HEADMAN OF RECORDS
Batawana Tribal Authority has promoted Kgosi Tjazako Munduu as Headman of Records at Bothatogo village with effect from yesterday .
Kgosi Munduu replaces Kgosi Gakebonwe Leduledi who passed away last year August.
Kgosi Munduu started bogosi in 2007 as Headman of Abitration . In 2014, he was voted to Ntlo ya Dikgosi Representing Ngami region, the position he currently hold.
Munduu highlighted that as the community leader his main aim is to help encourage villagers to take part in developing our people and the entire village with use of Natural resources that are found in our Area like Mining of Gravels and Quaries that are found in our area.
Munduu said he will continue to advocate for the sale of cattle so that they can secure lucrative markets .
