The Kalahari Legend
After several decades of setting the standard in the Kalahari, Jack’s Camp under went a full rebuild and reopened in 2021.

The brand-new Jack’s Camp pays homage to the property’s enduring and much-loved 1940s campaign style. The guest tents, seven twins and two doubles, are much larger and each is 270 square metres in size. The iconic interiors remain and are embellished with rich textiles from around the world, Natural History Museum cabinets, and an overhead bed cooling system. Ensuite bathrooms have both indoor and outdoor showers and outside, each veranda has a private plunge pool.

The new, larger mess tent is resplendent with the renowned Natural History Museum, library, antique pool table and a well-stocked drinks chest. The iconic nomadic Persian tea tent has been made larger and the shop has been renovated and restocked with new treasures.

HAVE FUN IN SWAKOPMUND!

Swakopmund is a coastal town in central Namibia sandwiched between the ocean and is one of the most popular places in the country for travellers to visit.

Swakopmund offers many touristic attractions like splendid buildings, a wonderful town promenade, the aquarium and many more. The nearby surroundings are also of touristic importance. Especially the coastal road which is flanked by dunes on the one side and by the Atlantic Ocean on the other is very impressive. Excursions can be made 30 km south to Walvis Bay, as well as up north to the fishing paradise of Henties Bay or to Cape Cross to one of the world largest seal colonies.

The city has scattered coffee shops, night clubs, bars, and hotels. There are balloon rides, skydiving, quad biking, and small marine cruises.
The city is known for its surf culture, The Saltyjackal, a surf camp offers surf lessons and board rentals as well as being currently the only group that runs guided surf trips along the Skeleton Coast.

MAUN IN A NUTSHELL

Often referred to as Botswana’s tourism capital, Maun lies on the southern fringes of the Okavango Delta, and served as a point of entry into the Delta, and often into Botswana, with direct flights from both Johannesburg and Gaborone.

Being the fifth largest town in Botswana, Maun is the administrative centre of Ngamiland District and a stronghold for the people of the Batawana tribe.

Due to the influx of tourists passing though the town to access the Okavango region, Maun has developed rapidly from a rural frontier town and has spread along the Thamalakane River. It now has shopping centres, hotels and lodges as well as car hire, although it retains a rural atmosphere and local tribesmen continue to bring their cattle to Maun to sell.
