HOUSE OF MASONS is an architectural monument of late classicism built in the late 80s of the 18th century by the project of the architect Giuseppe Sacco.
The house was originally one-storey, but later in the process of reconstruction it acquired a second floor. Since the end of the 18th century, this building has hosted meetings of the local Masonic lodge "Happy Liberation". At the beginning of the 19th century, the house became the property of various charitable organizations. However, there continued meetings of "free masons" with the participation of the Grodno governor and freemason M. Butovt-Andzheikovich, the President of Grodno K. Kreibikh, the magnates Lyakhnitsky, V. Musin-Pushkin and others.

GURSKY'S ESTATE IN RADZIVILKI
the manor of the 19th - first half of the 20th century is located 3 kilometers from the Augustow Canal. Once this family was one of the richest in these places and also known for patronage and entrepreneurship.
A manor house and outbuildings have been preserved from the Gursky estate. Of greatest interest is the cascade of five ponds located in a natural hollow in front of the estate. On the opposite bank there is a park, from which a beech-hornbeam alley has survived to this day.
After World War II, the manor was used as a boarding house and rest house. Now the estate receives guests.

The Palace in Svyatsk is an architectural monument of the 18th century. The complex was created by order of the Volovichi clan. The construction of the palace, which ended in 1810, was led by Giuseppe Sacco.
The historical ensemble includes not only the palace building. Across the entire area of ​​12 hectares lies a picturesque park, crossed by a system of ponds and canals. Among the buildings of the complex there is a small chapel and several outbuildings.
The simple layout of the palace provided a convenient connection between its separate parts. The rich interior, created according to the sketches of Sacco, combined the baroque and classicism celebrities.
At the moment, reconstruction is underway in the Palace and Park complex, but the views around are magical.

The prison is located in the buildings of the Jesuit collegium, built together with the Farny Church in the early XVIII century. It dates back to 1820, when, according to the royal decree, the Jesuit collegium was abolished, and a transit prison appeared in Grodno. By the 80s of the XIX century, the Grodno prison became the largest in the province. Production workshops worked here, where prisoners made shackles, chains, as well as clothes and shoes for other prisons.
The Grodno prison was known during the Soviet Union, and now it is called prison No. 1, it contains the most dangerous criminals and repeat offenders. One of the most famous "prisoners" of the Grodno prison was the artist and composer Napoleon Orda, the writer and linguist Bronislav Tarashkevich, the poet Valentin Tavlai, as well as Pylyp Pestrak, who led the prison uprising in 1939.
There are very few active prisons in the center of European cities, so the city authorities believe that small hotels, cafes, museums, and not a prison should be located in the very center of Grodno. But this is a very expensive and complex project.
So the desire of the city authorities is understandable. At the end of the last century, they already tried to move the prison out of town, but the project was never implemented. The prison occupies the territory of the Jesuit College. And if you did not return the building to its original purpose, you could make a museum in it. The prison holds many secrets. In 1978, to the 850th anniversary of the city of Grodno, a memorial stele with sculptures of the ancient Russian warrior-latnik and our contemporary was erected in Kolozha Park (sculptor G. Buralkin, architect A. Korolkov)
At the base of the monument are two forged figures made of copper. “Courage” is presented in the form of a warrior in armor, and “Hospitality” is symbolized by a woman with an embroidered towel in her hands. The height of each of the figures is 6 meters.

The Mound of Glory in Grodno is a memorial complex, an open-air museum in Grodno.
The complex was created to perpetuate the memory of soldiers who fought for the Fatherland in the war years. The land for the construction of the complex was taken from the mass graves of the heroes of the USSR from each district of the Grodno region (83 places in total). The complex was inaugurated on September 17, 1969.
At the foot of the Kurgan in 1974, the Alley of Heroes was laid. There is also an updated fleet of equipment and weapons. Among the exhibits there are various tanks, artillery mounts and other military equipment. One of the main values ​​of the exposition is the SU-24MR reconnaissance aircraft, brought in 2014.

“Kasia” and “Basya” are water towers located on the outskirts of the historic center of Grodno. 22-meter-high brick octagonal towers were built to provide water from the Neman to the city's water supply. The south tower was built in 1890. The walls of the tower are divided into several tiers, decorated and decorated with ornaments. Below the third tier are the windows. The north tower, painted in peach color, was erected a little later, in 1910. The facade of the second tower is decorated with massive cornices and pilasters. Both eclectic architectural buildings are covered with 8-pitched roofs. Water tanks are located in the upper parts of the towers.

Fire History Museum
This is the place where firefighters settled in the second half of the 19th century and are still working. Today it is not only a fire emergency rescue unit No. 1, but also a museum.
On the observation deck of the tower there is a mannequin firefighter, who is here called Vasily. Every day a real fireman rises to visit him, who plays at the Farny Church at exactly 11.58, until the clock starts to beat, playing the trumpet. This tradition existed back in the period of the Russian Empire, so the modern trumpeter rises to the tower in the uniform of that era.
