nyone wanting to experience an outstanding opportunity to snorkel in Belize. Goff's Caye is only 1.2 acres of natural coral sand, making it only about the size of a football field! You will meet your friendly and professional guide on shore at your Belize tender terminal. From there you will take a 20-30 minute boat ride to this amazingly beautiful and quiet island. While on your way to the island, you can't help spotting numerous mangrove islands which are home to an assortment of beautiful water birds such as the Brown Bo***es, Cormorants, Terns and possibly the Frigate birds. It is not uncommon to spot an occasional pod of bottle-nose dolphins as well! Goff's Caye can only be described as your own little piece of paradise. Sitting directly on the world's second largest Barrier Reef, the snorkeling opportunities are endless. With the island actually being part of the coral reef, there is no need to jump in a boat and go anywhere else. The coral reef surrounds the island just a few feet off the beach. Whether it's working on your tan, building sand castles or simply enjoying the crystal blue waters, this tiny little island still offers the ultimate beach experience for everyone. Going back to basics, there are no beach chairs. And please do not forget to bring your beach towels. You may also bring your own snacks if you like. Bottled water and a welcome rum punch will be provided. You will also be able to purchase food and beverages. Picnic style BBQ or Chicken Kabobs, grilled lobster tails, coconuts and cold beers are among your choices. The snorkeling on this Goff's Caye excursion is awesome, so it's perfect for beginners and those who have experience. Of course you are welcome to bring your own, but all snorkel gear is provided. Just hang out on the beach if you choose not to snorkel. Your guides will be there to assist you throughout the day and when the excursion comes to an end they will take you back to the Belize cruise ship terminal. Time on the island is approximately 3.75 hours.

"We arrived late for the scheduled excursion since the tender process took so long. They were very cool about it and let us take the next excursion with no problem (they were leaving every hour). The island is stunning!!!! The only issue was that there was not enough umbrellas and beach chairs. We were lucky enough to have them (for a fee) but others were in the direct sun for the entire time. The only recommendations would be to book less people (it was crowded) and to have more beach loungers and umbrellas." - JenP January, 2018

"Unique excursion! The little island is about a 30 minute boat ride out. Arrival thrills the soul - unexpected beauty. Amenities are primitively befitting the isle. Food and drink about the same. Snorkeling was great but water was a little rougher than expected, crew took great care to ensure everyone was watched over, and that a no swimmer was able to participate. "My wife and I took this excursion this past April. When our boat first came into view of the island the gentleman across from me and I said the same thing---Wow! This island is gorgeous. It is only about the size of a football field but it is incredible. The water is various shades of blue and you feel like you are on Gilligan's Island. The food was good; the only problem was they ran out of the beef kabobs very quickly and the line was long for the food. My suggestion is eat early and you shouldn't have a problem OR bring your own food and drinks! The snorkeling was great and the guides on this excursion were top notch. Very friendly, very knowledgeable and they really seemed to enjoy what they were doing. My wife and I are going back to Goff's Caye next May. It is wonderful!" - Captain Igloo June, 2017

"You haven't experienced beauty of carribean without going to Goff's Caye. Snorkeling on southeast edge of island is unbelievable! Just remember...DON'T TOUCH! Have been here numerous times with new experiences every time...all wonderful. Chicken and shrimp skewers are really good. Rum punch is awsome. Guides are knowledgeable, friendly and fun. "We went to Goff Caye recently, and it is pretty much as pictured. Lovely island with a great beach and a nice reef nearby. The ride out was long and choppy, so be aware. Once we arrived at the island our boat took us to the ocean side of it for snorkeling. While the reef did not blow us away like at other places (some of the coral was bleached, and the reef was sparser than other locations we seen), it was still a fun experience and the coral and fish were colorful as usual. Afterwards we had an hour and a half to relax on the beach lovely beach and drink rum punch. We also saw a flounder in the shallow areas. My biggest criticism is that they force you to use a life vest during the snorkeling, so you can't dive and get a closer look at the coral. They probably do this to prevent people from touching the coral and hurting it. The other issue is the lack of food options on the island, while I enjoyed the chicken and rice and beans, most of it used coconut which my wife can't eat due to allergy. Just be aware of this problem if you have food allergies. Overall, was an pleasant and enjoyable experience."

"This little island was beautiful. Water was crystal clear. They did offer chairs and umbrellas to rent. I recommend that, it's hot. Had the grilled shrimp plate, good. Bring cash for food and drinks. now we did have to wait about an hour to leave, but that was due to the time difference, we did not want to miss the boat. better to be early"

"This island was great - but getting there took a while. Take a note of the time difference with Belize and your ship. Ours was 2 hours difference. So we had to kill 2 hours with shopping. Not much to buy but mostly junk. I have read reviews how people felt unsafe at Belize port, but I didn't. Our boat that was suppose to come and pick us up came without life jackets so we had to wait on another boat to come bye which put us about 30 to 45 minutes behind. But as soon as I got to the island I forgot it all. Beautiful island, beautiful water, snorkeling was great (saw a manatee). Our guides on this tour were amazing and friendly. Didn't have a lot of time for rum punch but caught a little buzz before I went snorkeling. Also, to do this snorkeling I would recommend strong swimmers. Water is deep and you do have to swim a lot. Which we actually stayed out longer than the guides did. If I ever go back to Belize, I will defiantly go back to this little island. Could spend all day here. Saw dolphins jumping in our waves on the way back to the port. Absolutely recommend this excursion."

"Did this tour 2 weeks ago and it was wonderful. We were picked up at the agreed time and everything as planned. The guides are very friendly and friendly, they speak almost no Spanish but they strive to be understood by people who do not speak English. Clean and crystal clear water to see fish and some starfish. If you do not have experience the guides make Snorkel very easy. The key is spectacular, a paradise. "I was here in the start of September and it was a beautiful island. The water was so clear and blue and very refreshing. The food on the island was very good and the complimentary rum punch was amazing. My only complaint would be the ride to the island. After tendering out to the island (approximately 25 minutes) you need to get on another small boat to bring you to this private island. This ride also takes about 45 minutes and is a very bumpy ride. The staff on the boat was very funny and made the best of this long ride. If you don't mind the boat then I will say give this island a shot as it wont be a disappointment. We had a BLAST!!"

"We didn't spend much time on the island as we spent most of our time snorkeling. This was the first time snorkeling for all of us (2 adults and 2 children between ages 9 - 13). Seeing the reef was amazing, but I will say you should be a fairly good swimmer. It is deep water and we swam a LOT! Tiffin did a great job with our family and our two young children as well as watching over the group."

"I was one of "those" people who said "I am not going into the water" as I was afraid of what was in it. As an Arkansas native...I absolutely love nature and I wanted to see what all of the "hype" was about Belize. As we pulled into port...I thought nice port shopping but water was NOT like all of the pics I googled over prior to arriving. My thought was the same...no one is talking me into getting in the water. After getting some good deals shopping...it was our turn to take off on our shuttle boat to Goff's Caye. Started off great. Our crew were so friendly n informative...I was floored with the map and types of marine life...yes including the MASSIVE whale shark. I was still thinking...no water for me. About 10 minutes out of port...water begins to look more familiar as in photos...pretty n blue but not AS pretty as pics. Warm water splashing...birds following...flying fish n then there it was! More beautiful than the pics. Jumped off the boat...crew trying to keep up to remind me to take off life vest. Lol. I had to be the first on the beAch! Husband talked me into packing snorkel gear...even though I was NOT EVER getting in the water. Let's just say that I know they had some vendors on the beach selling some really neat items; the grilled kabobs, lobster n shrimp smelled wonderful; guided snorkeling was beautiful; island was gorgeous (at least that's what my husband said)...I wouldn't know because I immediately put my snorkel gear on and spent entire 4 hours snorkeling on my own...just as I said I would NEVER do. I did manage to try the rum punch which was FABULOUS. I'm not a big drinker but that punch was hard to resist...I had several cups (tip these ladies n gentlemen well!!!!they deserve it!!!!) I did get a grilled lobster with corn and rice....it was really good as well. (Some "do's n dont's)...DO get water shoes-sand is beautiful but rough; do remember sunscreen-not much shade if you are afraid of sun; do take your own snorkel gear if you want to take off on your own n snorkel; don't forget extra money for the tasty food n drinks; DO use common sense n don't drink n go out in the deeper water; DO tip well because these guys n gals are fantastic; don't bother marine life...observe n awe over; DON'T book this excursion if you are not wanting an awesome experience. My husband and I went in December 2014 and are taking ten adult family members in November 2015! Want to share in the beauty and hospitality of Belize. Thank you shore excursioneer for a memorable experience. We used you for roatan and Cozumel last year and are using you again this year. Dependable, friendly and deliver what you sell...and then some! See you soon!"

"A quick boat ride out to Goff's Caye which was small and beautiful. We did not spend much time on the beach we loaded back up on the boat and out to the snorkel area. The staff was great and the equipment was good. Leon was our guide and he was amazing! He took his time to make sure we each comfortable and that we all got a look at the reef. He helped my mom back to the boat when she was too tired to swim. The food was good and then it was time to go. Make sure you wear good water shoes the sand is rough and the pier is long and there are some island ants :)"

"Belize is a tender port so you do have to wait a bit longer to make sure everyone has made it from the ship to the cruise terminal but there is plenty of shopping and places to eat in the terminal so it is quite lovely. Once everyone had made it to the terminal, we got on a boat for a ride to this tiny island. It was AMAZING!!! This island is a gorgeous place to relax for the day. The snorkeling is awesome and the tour guides are so nice. Some locals were on the island grilling chicken kabobs which you could purchase, they were delicious! We were super happy with this excursion!!"

"When we booked this excursion we were looking for the best of both worlds; snorkeling and relaxing and this excursion was exactly what we wanted. We tendered early in to port and found the excursion's meeting place. They gave us a wrist band and told us what time to come back so we were able to walk around the shops before we headed out the island. The ride to Goff's Caye didn't seem that long as we started a conversation with one of the crew and she told us all about Belize and the Mayan history. I found if you wanted to know something the crew was extremely willing to tell you all about their beautiful island. The snorkeling was great and the team was extremely organized. We went out in small groups and our guide even brought up some starfish for us to hold - they are not what I expected. Once back on the island, it is up to you on what you want to do; eat, relax, snorkel, swim or just people watch. One of the crew came over and talked to us. This was my son's first cruise and he came away from this excursion impressed how friendly and easy it was to talk to the crew. After the excursion we had time to do more shopping."

"My wife and I booked this excursion to teach her how to swim and snorkel. This Caye superseded our expectations 100 fold. The minute my wife put her head down in the water she was hooked. She had never even swam in a pool before but this little island was magical. All of the people there were beyond helpful and friendly. From the minute we checked in on the dock until we returned several hours later. This is one experience we will carry with us and talk about to our children, grandchildren and friends for many years to come. On all of our future trips to Belize we are definitely going to book this excursion. "Got off our cruise ship in Belize and the tour company was waiting for us at the dock. Nice folks, but crowded chaotic process. Once it was time for the boat to leave for Goffs Caye, they rounded up the crowd of people and escorted us to a water taxi. About 40 people were on our boat. The ride to Goffs Caye was a tad long and the water was rough,,,don't ride in the back of the boat. It seriously vibrates from the engine. The island was beautiful and remote. Right on a reef. We got off the tour boat, found our spot on the beach, set up camp. The tour took us back out in the boat to snorkel. The snorkeling was "ok",,,not as grand as I would have expected but we did see fish. Just not lots of them. We snorkeled from the boat back to the beach and proceeded to eat lunch. Decent food, local flavor, and lots of rum punch. My only complaint was the fact that this tiny island had 4 boats dropping people off. So by mid day it was mobbed with people. Other than that, it was a fun ride, beautiful beach, good snorkeling, tasty food and drink and excellent friendly staff. We would recommend this excursion to our friends."

"First off- the crew on this excursion was fantastic. They were very accommodating to an older couple (in their 70's) and a young girl who needed extra assistance. Big group - so lots of guides made smaller groups (5-7) to snorkle with. Beautiful little island, and we did not feel at all crowded. Be careful if you bring a man who can't hold his liquor though...the free rum punches can be hazardous -though tasty! Bring snacks. The one minor disappointment- the lunch you could purchase on the island was just okay the day we went, and they ran out of food pretty quickly."

"We learned about this trip on Trip Advisor and it was highly rated. After experiencing the tour, it is easy to know why it is so highly rated! One note is there may be a time difference between your ship & Belize. Belize does not do DST, so make sure to check the tour start time, once you get into port. Once we had the time difference figured out, it was a GREAT excursion. Leon was our tour guide, and he and his entire crew were excellent and took very good care of us! The water was pretty choppy getting out to the small island beach, and a little rough for the adults on the boat, but we had a young passenger with us that absolutely loved the bouncing around! The ride was about 35 to 40 mins. Once we reached the small island, we dropped our stuff on the beach and then got back in the boat to go out to the reef to snorkel, (about 1 minute away). We were fitted with masks and snorkels and fins, and got to snorkel in a large sized group for about 45mins. We had 2 guides in the water with us the whole time. And even though the water was a little choppy, the snorkeling was great and clear. There was plenty to see in the area, with lots of fish and coral reefs. After snorkeling, we came back to the island for rum punch and to hang out. We still had about 1 ½ hours to relax on the beach. The island and water are amazing & beautiful!! The beach is fantastic just to kick back and relax and the rum punch was flowing!! Rojo was a great bartender! You could purchase a lunch for about $8.00 with generous portions and it is cooked right there. This was a great way to spend a day and easy to see why it is so highly rated. The price is also very reasonable for all that they offer. We rarely do excursions not offered by the ship but we felt very comfortable and safe with this group. I would definitely do this excursion again."

"This excursion was THE BEST EVER!!! We did this exact excursion on May 31, 2016 through this website. The tender boat took us from our cruise ship to Belite City and we went left down to I think it was #4 where we found the desk for this excursion. They gave us wristbands and we all got in a speedboat (me age 41, my daughters 16 and 20 and my friend age 63)along with about 20 other people plus 4 Belize guides. We rode in a speed boat at 930 am Belize time approx 30 mins away (not sure, didn't watch the time) to Goff's Caye where everyone got off the boat and changed, went potty, put on sunscreen or went somewhere to lay out and then approx 15 mins later everyone who was going to snorkel got back to the speedboat. The rest stayed on the island. My friend stayed and my 2 daughters and I went with the group who were going to snorkel. I was a brand new snorkelers and my 20yr old had never done it before either. My 16yr old had only tried it in Cozumel the day before. We geared up with the guides assistance and they lowered me into the water from behind cause I was scared and didn't want to jump in. We had life jackets on, snorkel mask and snorkelers along with fins. I brought 2 snorkel masks and snorkeler of my own for me and my 16yr old but the oldest used theirs. My youngest went with 1 group and the oldest and I were in another group. We started snorkeling like pros in the ocean in Belize and I was SOOO proud of myself and both my kids!! I couldnt see my youngest cause she didn't get in my group like she was supposed to but I trusted she was ok. We had at least 1hr or more to snorkel, see coral and fish galore, it was truly amazing!! We all loved it so much and I would do it again in a heartbeat! It's very physical tho as u are using yor arms and legs to swim through the water following the guides who swim off to show u specific coral and fish (they try) but its hard to keep up wits them sometimes but they wait for u. When u get tired just lean back and let ur life jacket float you while you get your breath and just soak in your surroundings. Seeing the coral and fish underneath you is so relaxing and peaceful!!! I SOOO loved this excursion and want to do it again ASAP!!! These guides are amazing and helpful too. He offered to let people go back to the speedboat if they were getting tired or just wanted to stop snorkeling. We didn't return with the 1st few who wanted to end it so the guide came back out to us and showed us more things to see. He was even willing to keep snorkeling after the hour (or longer, I really lost track of time) but later on my daughter and I did go bak to the boat. When everyone was back on it took off back to Goff's Caye where we stayed a few hours just chilling. They had food for purchase, some things they had for sale as souvenirs like wooden bowls handmade etc, jewelry, etc and free rum punch, water bags (not bottles, but in bags, very interesting!) And free fruit punch. I don't drink but I did try the run punch. Pretty good! The island is MAGNIFICENT and by FAR the BEST photos I got on all 4 islands we visited on this cruise. Goff's is so gorgeous, serene, magnificent...you will never want to leave! You will LOVE IT!!!!!!! At the end of like 4hrs I think it was they took us back in the speedboat for another fast and awesome ride back to Belize City and we got more water. It was such an amazing relaxing day with PERFECT weather!!!! Please tip these men also who are your snorkel guides and boat drivers. They are very attentive and very knowledgeable!!

"We had time to shop at the port before boarding the boat to ride out to the island. The boat ride felt long, but I think it was just because we were ready to be on the island. The water was amazing, the beach was good and the snorkeling was great. I would definitely recommend this for pretty much anyone. My husband and I, our 22 year old son and our 7 year old son all had a great time. The food for sale on the island was reasonably priced and delicious.
